The Jets are indeed an underrated group that deserves to be recognized as one of the greatest 80's groups ever! They're so humble still and down-2-earth! The host is very cool; I really enjoy his humor and respectful questions.
This group never got the true recognition they so truly deserved and earned. They were phenomenal in the 80's💗💯💗It's 2020 and I'm still loving You Got It All🤘
I agree, but they were never underrated to me. Maybe in the US, but I was overseas in the military overseas in the late 80’s/ early 90’s and the club scene was popping everywhere. The Jets,Expose,Cover Girls, Haddaway, Stevie B, Wham, Human League…. I could keep going, but it was just a better time and better music. Yeah I’m a GenXer 😂😂
Tell me about it. But, it's not even just the older music. I listen to tracks from their "Reunited" album everyday. Also, I've discovered some of Elizabeth's solo songs and love them. I'm the same age as Elizabeth and they have been my favorite group for all of this time.
Thank you so much for all the love and support through out the years. Reading through all the beautiful comments from all of you makes me feel so blessed. Thank you for keeping our music alive. I love you! Please stay safe! God bless! ...This is Eddie from the Jets
Polynesians 🇹🇴leaving their mark in the music world they're so grounded that's what I love about our polynesian ppl they never forget where they come from...
Just finished watching their Unsung story. It's sad the business affected their family relationships. But it's nice to see they're all doing well. Hopefully they all reunite and create more beautiful music together🙏 ❤️the Jets!
I love it! I came to the U.S. for the first time in December of 1986, and whenever I hear any of their songs it brings back beautiful memories. I wish I could turn back time 😢. Thank you 💕 😊
It's so good to see them again in 2019. They used to be 7 members of the Wolfgramm family, I wonder where the three went? Moana has matured though she was the youngest cute member. Elizabeth survived the deadly breast cancer in 2009. I missed them so much . I remember the good old days back in the 80s with them.
I just found out about that too. Now that I know, I can totally picture Liz killin it on the vocals of that song it’s in her range and she has a similar singing tone to Selena actually. But you’re right, Selena made it the great tune it is til this day.
You Got It All is my all time favorite song and video from the 80's, so cool to be young in the 80's, it captured the essence of the decade and made you wanna be in love if you wasn't, the guy was right in the Unsung episode, if there was any group that needed to be on Unsung it is The Jets, they finally got there story told. I just wished the world stayed with them past the 80'’cause they were and still are all so talented. Elizabeth is one of my favorite singers and should have been a solo star also!
The first time I heard that song I dropped everything and did some investigation to find out who it was... never would have imagined that lil' sis was only 12 when she dropped those vocals!
@@gheerock4077 she’s their younger sister, she wasn’t performing with them back in the 80’s and 90’s but she’s has been performing with them now for about a decade, she’s probably quiet because he’s focusing on the Jets back in the day and Eddie, Moana and Kathy was there.
Dallas Sniper I saw the episode a few weeks ago it was very sad that the family doesn’t even speak anymore. And they don’t even speak to their mom which is really sad
Lionel Kennedy But to not even speak to your mom and dad over some music rights? I wish they could just find peace and make up. Sometimes it’s easier said then done
Please bring back the sexay 80s . These Toko's & Ta'ahine's 🇹🇴 are legend's . The first Polynesian's ever to hit mainstream america 🇺🇸 back in the early 80s , making way for other polynesians to make it thru. All the way from Minneapolis , Mn via : Nuku Alofa , Toga Tapu , Toga 🌴🇹🇴🌴, The Jets !!!!!!!! , God Bless 🙏 & Respects Wolfgramme family , Malo Aupito !........ Uso 🌴🇼🇸🌴 Checcin-in - Honolulu , Hi 808 🇺🇸
@@cyndilelyn The recording industry ripped them off. They were taken advantage of by singing and dancing with nothing to show for it. No royalties no publishing no anything for their hard work.
Awesome interview! I am hoping that Dwayne Johnson would produce either a mini series or a feature film about "The Jets" after his "King Kamaehameha" film
The (Jets) I was military in 80's. My wife loved them sooo much i got jealous. 😆. Happy to see their doing well. Blessings and Happiness to all of them
I have seen all the great rock bands in live concert: Led Zepplin, Janice Joplin, Grateful Dead, Santana, James Brown, Quicksilver, etc. and I have to say one of the greatest live acts I have ever seen in concert was the Jets in the 80's. They were incredible and they were just kids.
I got to speak to them by phone when they were visiting a radio station in Honolulu, Hawaii where i was living at the time in the late 80z. I was 18 (50 now). Love The Jets! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
Omg he interviewed them so well!!!! He is awesome, fun, funny and knows his JETS info. Loved seeing the JETS and knowing they are all still doing well! Everyone looks the same and the harmonizing with D- was amazing!!
This interview just made my day. Delious, you are a GREAT host and asked the exact questions I have been wondering about. I am in the same boat as you. Growing up and even still to this day The Jets have been a constant source of inspiration for me. Their music has lifted me up even on my darkest days. I have had the pleasure of meeting them and they are so humble and genuinely great, down to earth people. They make you feel like friends instead of fans. Hey Im available as well. I can play a mean tambourine and a fierce triangle. I literally screamed when the Selena reference came up. LOVE Dreamin of you and Selena. Again AWESOME interview and job well done. LOVE THE JETS!!!!!!!!!
It’s always been a dream of mine to meet them.. they’re music and their personalities just pull you I’m! I just find it funny that “you got it all”, a song that can still make me tears eyed to this DAY.. that the inspiration was a puppy..😂😂😂. People done got married to that joint, lol.. I love it!
1000 likes to Flashback Tonight for posting this. I love the JETS and have since day 1 in the eighties! Yeah I had a crush as a 16 year old back back in the day on Liz ha! God bless you and I hope to see you in concert soon!
Back in high school I had a book cover that I made and I wrote all the groups, rock bands and rappers that I liked on it and I had The Jets on it. One of my good friends saw The Jest and laughed at me and said “why you have them on there?” I just told him “ I like their songs.” 😁
Curiosity was my first favorite song from them because it reminded me of my last year (1985) in high school and all the fun I used to have during this time. This song was the soundtrack of my life. Make it real was the second one because of a breakup with a girl before I went into the military. I was really in love with her and every time I would hear it, I would get sad and think of her. This is one of the groups that shaped my youth.
Damn. Was crying seeing you guys! Still getting chills hearing your performances. Soulful; smooth as butter. Keep lifting our spirits! The Jets are forever in my heart!
“Curiosity” was/is the Jam! First heard it, as a freshman in High School - I’m guessing 1984 or ‘85? I learned how to connect my boom box, to the t.v. cable, and pull-in Power 99, out of Philly. I grew up over 4 hours away from Philly(in Top 40 country), so you can only imagine, what it was like to pull in The Jett’s, Lisa Lisa, Janet Jackson, Whodini - all the great Urban sounds of the day.
I got a crush, I love y'all then and now, your music is being played here in Las Vegas almost everyday, you guys are forever, thanks for sharing..🍸💎💎💎💎 🤗 stay kind
I love the Jets! I saw them at King's Island near Cincinnati, Ohio. Actually ran into the girls in the bathroom. It was funny cause my friend and I walked all the way to the far side of the park as not to wait in line to go to the bathroom. It was crazy, I left the stall and the girls walked in. We did not really talk just smiled at each other. My friend got out of her stall and froze. And soon joined us in washing hands and doing hair like girls do in the bathroom. It is good to see them still looking so great! I wonder if they remember that encounter? LOL!
Anytime, The Same Love, Somebody (To Love), Believe It Or Not It's Magic, Under Any Moon, Special Kinda Love... they need to add these to their set list too ;) Love them to this day!! :)
@@quasimodo5405 I'm having trouble identifying who is who? The video "crush on you", which one of these 3 women are the 2 girls singing in that video? And who would the 3rd woman be?
@@HyperInflation2020 Kathy is playng the Keyboards. Moana is singing backup, and Elizabeth is singing the lead vocals in their songs- ie "Crush on you", "Curiosity", "You got it all", etc. I got to meet them at Church 30 years ago, and was very impressed with all of them personally. They are all of great faith and outward and inward beauty. Sadly, there is a big family rift that has divided their family into 2 groups, which is common in many families in not just Showbiz, but elsewhere. Elizabeth is married to her husband Mark, and they live in Hawaii. The rest of them have families, children, and grandchildren, and live in Vegas, Utah, and elsewhere.
@@quasimodo5405 Thank you. I'm 49 years old and I have found a new appreciation for them today. I didn't pay much attention to that pop back then. I was more into Motley Crue and that Genre. Looking back now, I realize how great this family was.
Just got through watching this and I was just so elated to see these beautiful faces and bright spirits. I'm 51 I grew up in the 80s this was one of my favorite groups in to see after all these years they still look beautiful there smiling and their God-fearing family and I couldn't be more happier for them. These are very talented and blessed individuals, and they deserve all the best. Thank you so much for sharing this God bless you. Sending best wishes and prayers and blessings to all the family members and I pray that the dispute you guys had years ago that it won't be mended by God's hand. You are all family and life is too short.
OMG!!! One of my favorites 80's group. I've always wondered what happened to the Jets. So nice to see the group. I can't wait to watch Jets on Unsung tonight.
