Dude this is awesome! I’m so glad I found your channel, I want to have a go at a custom wheel myself soon for my Fiesta project. I’ve seen timelapses before but you properly explain it! Great work
Hey, question. So, I’ve watched the first part and now this one, just wondering if you could’ve used the glazed putty from the beginning, and if so, why you chose to take the epoxy route?… Edit: Both wheels are looking pretty wicked btw!
Thank you! The reason I didn't use the glazing putty to build the structure is because it's so soft. It would take a long time to build it up enough to make the shape. If you built it up quickly, it would crack as it dries. The epoxy putty works like clay and it also smells way less, which is really nice. I was able to use it in my office without issues.
Infelizmente não tenho um. Apenas esta série que cobre o processo do início ao fim. Pretendo desenvolver um curso com mais detalhes no futuro. Avisarei quando estiver completo.
I would have to do some calculations to determine what to charge others. It is a really time consuming process and materials aren't cheap either. However, I am interested in doing this for others, so I will definitely get back to you.
Okay great! How long would this take on average for a first timer & what are some common mistakes beginners might make so we can avoid them. Maybe you can make a video on that if you have time.
