Tell that to the cabinet and trim guys. They swear that back in the day walls were perfectly flat, and it’s a shame no one can do quality work anymore. I’ve tried dozens of times to explain that drywall has never been and never will be perfectly flat, and that’s why we invented the scribe. They still won’t listen.

I am a nudist, and I simply find it more comfortable and hate the restrictions of clothiong. Plus I think we villify the human body is so many ways that is dumb. We spent last winter in Quartzsite AZ. You can see the clothing optional BLM land we stayed on by watching some videos on my channel of That Kilted Guy Behind the KIlt. We also go to a really nice resort here in Colorado when we can afford it, called Mountain Air Ranch. If I was 30-40 years younger I’d definitely be getting into the courses. But since I’m a senior citizen I just do repairs around the house. Don’t have the strength & stamina like I used to. It sucks but I deal with what I have. So far so good. My repairs are all good thanks to the teachers like yourself.
I'm happy to hear you used fiberfuse, I bought a roll recently and have been using it often (all patches/repairs not new install). I of course sanded too much the first time and got fiberglass flakes all over me but I am enjoying it, almost through the first roll.
Found your channel and this video. I'm searching for information and videos to know if it's possible as part of a renovation to round square wall corners on an existing build. Idea is to put more of a Southwest or Mexico-ish feel with well-rounded wall beads and curved doorways. Sort of like, cut away the existing square corner to the studs and fashion a wide bullnose edge for a well-rounded appearance. But I don't know what supports the contour I'm trying to build with the wide paper tape. Would you build upa mud contour and coverage with a wide paper tape? Thoughts? Maybe a content idea for a future video??
I was once hired to cut out all of the square corner bead and house and replace it with round bull nose corner bead. I was also hired to remove all of his popcorn ceiling and to repaint the entire house so I was there for quite awhile. That person now tells everybody I'm the best drywaller he's ever hired, lol. It's a lot of work but it can be done and I will keep that in mind for our video topic one day. Thanks for the comment
Depends on the Finish level (1-5) and the texture going over it, if any. For our area, we are mostly a level 3 finish, but even for level 4, this is often plenty. I teach all this in my courses, because there's a lot of variables.
Can you explain to me why my walls bow out wherever there is Plumbing? it makes it really hard or the cabinet guys and the countertop guys to get a good fit. Wherever I have Plumbing, the wall bows out sometimes as much as a half an inch.
