People say relaxed hair can't be healthy, but yours looks fantastic. At the beginning I just thought you had to be natural because your hair had so much body and life. How do you maintain the health of your hair?
The best way to maintain healthy hair whether relaxed or natural is to know your hair. Pay attention to what your hair is telling you and treat it accordingly.
My hair was the healthiest when it was relaxed. I was going to a professional and she did my wash and conditions every 2 weeks faithfully and I got my relaxers no sooner than every 8 weeks...Getting my ends trimmed was a must!!! Also, most importantly I kept the heat off my hair. If I had to do it....It was once a week, I applied oil sheen and wrapped my hair every night with a satin scarf. You can have healthy relaxed hair!
Beautiful look!!! Love the way the front/bangs lay! If anyone's having trouble keeping the hair's in place while wrapping, here's a tip for a flawless wrap: I use the long metal duck clips to hold the hair in place - 4 around the edges and 4 at the drown (facing different directions). Then I tie a hair net (just as if it were a satin scarf). This will let you take all of the pins out of your hair, without messing up the wrap. And THEN I wrap with a satin durag/scarf! :). Although my hair is long, it won't stay if I don't use clips. This works for my mother who has a very short bob - the hair net has been a Godsend! LOL.
I appreciate that's she open about being relaxed I think so many women have something against it and it's noting wrong as long as your giving your hair all the TLC it needs all hair is different and beautiful
OMG...you are a LIFE SAVER!!! I too just got my hair cut in a bob...love the style, but I was catching hell trying to wrap it. I also have bad days where I've flat ironed everyday, and didn't want to continue doing that. The technique in this video FINALLY let me wrap my bob and slay the next day! THANK YOU!!!
I would have never thought to air dry my hair and then flat iron it. However, I just tried your method and my bob looks great! I think air drying is definitely a better look for me during the first month post relaxer only. By the way, your hair tutorials have been helpful for me since I recently transitioned from being natural for 15 years to a relaxer.
I've been wanting this cut soooo bad and you've just inspired me to go ahead and get it . Flat ironed to perfection & the day 2 hair was even more bomb than the night before 😍 You've earned a new Subbie 😊
Thank you 🙌🏽 That tip about taking the bobby pins out has saved me soooo much time in the mornings!! So glad I found y'all's channel, proud of you girls!! -Lala
You are srsly making me want to relax my hair and cut it into this bob. It's my favorite hairstyle and my natural hair has been driving me crazy lately, lol. Beautiful job!
Amazing. My daughter wants to get a stacked bob and I remember when she was little, it would look TERRIBLE in the mornings! I can't wait to try this on her!
Your hair looks beautiful!!! when I wrap my hair i use those stocking caps that come in a pack of three. You can find them at Walmart. I put that on then put my regular silk scarf on. I promise my wrap comes out so smooth!!
I love your hair so much. I'm natural but I want to start wearing my hair straight. No relaxer just flat iron wrap at night and go. I have been binge watching your videos.
Sooooo I’m Hispanic with super straight hair and have a bob that is just a pain in the ass in the morning. I think I may take tips here and see if it works. Gorgeous hair !
Omg I love your hair! I need this haircut! Lol. I had a bob before but I'm too lazy to style it every day so I never really got to enjoy it that much. :( I mostly just tied it up or left it curly. Questions: 1. How did you get those layers in the front? Is it purposely cut shorter like that, or is it just 'even' when parted in the middle, and then falls that way when you part it on the side? My bob was even but your layers definitely add something extra, a little sexy flair! ^_^ 2. How long does it take you to do the flat iron routine? I couldn't tell bc it's sped up lol. 3. I didn't see the hair scarf listed in the Description. How/where do I get that?
OMG you look like me!!! I was watching and you started the tutorial showing your hair freshly washed before adding your heat protectant and I had to do a double take and replay it. We look alike so much from the nose up lol LOL
just wrap your hair the opposite way of how you want your bang to fall. for ex if you want it parted on the left and bang to fall on your right you will wrap your hair to the left (instead of to the right like you normally would) trust me this works I've done it before when I had this same exact haircut
+Nicole Nunya thanks for this tip. I did ot this week and it totally works. It keepd the swoop from getting so flat when you wrap in opposite direction!
Omg I've been wrapping my hair like that ever since I first cut my hair back in 2013. Now I'm back to the bob life, I rarely straighten bc I'm natural but when I do I still use that method.
Omg I have a really similar bob except I used weave for most of it . It was the only struggle and I was flatironing my hair which is not good especially bc my hair is natural . But this helped a lot !
I've already cut my hair into a bob after I had my daughter and now I'm thinking about relaxing it to help with time management. This video is making me want to say yes to the creamy crack!!
yass girl!!! The bob looks amazing. Thanks for the tutorial; I was wondering why my wrap with my pins wasn't coming out the way i wanted. Now I know the trick to get it smooth with no marks. Awesome!
Your hair is gorgeous! Represent relaxed hair girls 💪💪So do you relax your hair bone straight since when you wash it and air dry your strands are still straight?
Wow I so the exact same thing, I put a scarf on then a satin bonnet & I take our the bobby pins too. I straighten my hair pretty much the same way as well
