Archie, love the track content, however, just a suggestion, I wish there was a lap or two with just exhaust sounds and plain driving. After the talking through the track. Other than that keep it up mate.
Yea maybe I’m in the minority but he took the yammering a tad too far “MY CAR TURNS IN BETTER THAN HIS!!” 😑😑 no, your old car doesn’t turn in better than the new one, “IV ABSOLUTELY DONE HIM!!” Yea probably cause it’s a public track day and not a race😂 I appreciate the track content but he mustn’t start ruining it by thinking his a presenter now...
I wish there was 9 or 10 laps of driving against some competition instead of a few other youtuber just there for photo opportunities! Porsche club racing is not for the feint hearted!
Fantastic video archie you can really tell it was a experience you will never forget great driving and my god you have taught Tony very well he has to go down as most improved driver
Archie just want to say I’m so happy for you with the gt3rs and it’s brilliant to see the track content. Seeing you racing is probably my favourite thing about your channel. More uploads like this please
Wow. You certainly enjoyed yourself and are loving the GT3RS. Great to see. However with you and Tony at RMA days now it's put me off using them (joke). I was surprised you didn't seem to have checked your tyre pressures before you went out. Anyway look forward to more track content, I must practice my trail braking when next out on track.
Awesome video! Tony is a such a cool guy. I love the wrapping on his GT3 RS. He's right about tire pressure, after your first session you're quite likely to have too much pressure due to high temperature, which causes reduced grip.
I absolutely love your GT3 RS My No.1 Racing Driver. DONT EVER SELL IT. Keep it as a permanent member. Nothing can replace it especially for your heritage and recent past.
Yes man!!!!! This was so exciting. That was insane! It’s awesome to watch your skill at work. Some of the best content you’ve done. Congrats, and thanks. The purple looks stellar.
I would love to see in the next video some sum-up of the track day in depth. How many laps did you do, what were the conditions in terms of outside temperature, what were your tire pressures… Plus a check-up of the car after the track day… How are the tires, the brake pads, if the car has the geometry OK after hitting some curbs etc… Maybe you could do a sort of guide for track-day runners, how to prepare the car, maintain it, control the pressures, how frequently change the oil and fluids, etc…. Sort of things you need to know by heart being a professional racing driver. That wuld be a real added value. Otherwise, great video, loved it, you described exactly the feelings I had when I was tooking my cars on the track...
Hey Archie what about putting some Cup 2 R tires on the GT3 RS and to perhaps increase turn in more you could get some Forgeline GE1R 21x12 rear wheels instead of 21x12.5 and pair them with the same in 20x9.5(60mm tire width difference = 2.4 inches = approximately 2.5 wheel width difference, and tire pressures can be adjusted to fine tune the front and rear grip levels).
Great content Archie, your enthusiasm is infectious! Don’t worry about the camera angles, we just need your commentary. Learning a huge amount and can’t wait for my track day in a few weeks.
Loved loved loved this!! Anyone who says you can’t drive watch this! So good and I love learning about how someone drives round a track! Epic video and tony is so good!!
Absolutely fantastic such a cool video I would love to be a passenger. I once been in Porsche Turbo s as a passenger and could not believe the rapid speed one of the coolest days I have had. All the best with your amazing car
Great stuff Archie. You should do picture in picture of the two views down in the corner or something. Would love to watch you drive and see where the car is pointing at the same time!
10:27 Archie is so excited that the track guys had to put two cones down, because he would not listen to the verbal command that he was "not allowed" to go yet.
Well you did it!! Got your Porche on track and was a great vidio. Respect to Tony for keeping up👍👍👍. Great Porche music from the intakes and exhaust. Let's have some more track action.
Wow, that was a great video! Like you said: "finally, the content" we've been waiting for :-) And it isn't just that the content fits your channel, but you really did this video well. Some highlights of the video were: talking us through the set-up factors and driving dynamics that contributed to the right balance. Also, because you gave such a strong endorsement of Tony's surprising ability in a previous video, it was great to see how he was keeping up with you, and to hear you two talking it out after. Great passing, views, sound, etc. And all of those factors more enjoyable and engaging on your channel because we know you have a proven, professional talent. Maybe some camera angles could be a bit better... rear view without spoiler blocking... but really, superb video, Archie. Keep it up!
Honestly great to see you having such fun on track. Good to see a pro (I'm guessing?) still having real fun in their own car! Keep it up. Also big up Tony whoever he is! 8)
Finally! Good job mate, good shots. But to be honest, would really like some front camera all the time, and then you can put a small camera angle of you in the corner somewhere. We really dont care about looking at your handsome face, when you're driving mate. Keep the track content comming.
Loved that Archie, thank you - it was awesome!! Something I’ve often wondered - could you feel the aero working at all? Silverstone is a high speed circuit, perfect for aero to really work and could you feel the aero kicking in through the high speed stuff and if so could you also feel it bleed off and did that make you lose traction causing any lock ups as the grip lessened?? Would love to hear your feedback please mate?? Thanks, Tim
Yes! This is just what I've been waiting for! Btw, any plans on getting back into racing competitively? It's a shame what happened with the I - Pace but it would be great to see you push to the podium on TV
Big big fan of your channel, I see you the other day on the m25 coming off at the m40 junction with another GT3 rs! The purple of your car looks amazing in person!
You definitely need more of this stuff with the RS, maybe even get a small hot hatch and build a track car so you can have more options than just the GT3RS to take you on track and be more affordable to do so. Maybe go to smaller tracks with said car like Cadwell where the GT3RS might be a little too much but a smaller hot hatch track built car would be at home (fiesta ST180/200 track build, megane RS ect...) something viewers can relate to more than a GT3RS and gives you more track time due to tyres and brakes not being anywhere near as expensive m
