This looks like a fun one. I'm gonna try it in a size 11 bead though since that's what I have and I've done broke my bead budget for a while, lol. Beading really is addictive.😉 Thanks for the great tutorial.👍🏼
@@Potomacbeadco I succeeded👏🏻 And I'm so happy with how it turned out. In hind sight, the only thing I'd do differently is sew one end of each strand to my brick stitch end before I add or remove any beads from the strand. I think when I bead I sometimes pull my thread a little too tightly so my brick stitch ends tend to have a bit of upward curve on the ends so while my strands were all the same length unattached, once I started sewing them on, the peyote especially was about 2-3 rows longer than it should have been. Not noticeable while wearing, only can tell when it's laying flat. I still love it and will wear it regardless. I used 11/o in place of the 8/o and I used 15/o in place of the 11/o. All miyuki from the picasso collection except the miyuki galvanized silver 15/o. I posted the finished bracelet on my instagram (don't have a fb and can't post pics on youtube), if anyone wants to see. Other than the smaller bead sizes I did everything else the same. @salty_crow
Love it! So many possible variations. Since some stitches show a fair amount of thread, colored Nymo thread in a complimentary color would add yet another point of interest.
Great practice piece and we can wear it in the end :) And....what a coincidence.....we went to the city yesterday for the granddaughter's appointment and I stopped at a bead store! Now I have more colors to play with
what a fun and whimsical bracelet , know all those stitches well , so will def be making this one as i love the look of multiple bracelets all in one .... ty for a great video Allie!!!! look forward to all your tutorials!!!!
This makes me feel really smart. I made a bracelet influenced by the crystal grotto but didn’t have a connector so I brick stitched the end down small enough to add a clasp. It was a very similar look. I don’t know a lot of techniques yet but this really made me feel like I knew what I was doing.
I love the colors in the bracelet you’re making! This is also a perfect project for someone like me who gets bored easily. Thanks for the tutorial and inspiration! ✌🏼💜🛼
So pretty! Great stash buster especially if you have just a few of each color. Thanks Allie, once again a very clear explanation for all the different stitches.
What a cool way to help beaders practice different stitches! And I have to say, Allie's suggestion to flip your work at the end of each row may seem like a no-brainer, but when I actually tried this for the first time, I thought to myself "Well why the heck didn't I think of this?" LOL. Since I'm right-handed, I bead from right to left, but the end result is the same regardless which is your dominant hand, right? Thanks Allie!
