Control the traffic behind you. Glad to hear someone with way more experience than me confirming that I’ve been doing it correctly! Cheers! You just picked up a new sub as well. Thank you.
I been pulling a flatbed for many years, can’t seem to get into anything else I love it! You’re doing a great job the way you work and giving education to others.
You always have good content, and you're always trying to teach people that is freaking awesome, and your truck is like anybody that's ever built a hot rod or a Harley. Or anything custom lowered back down whatever
your spot on brother !!! I've always had nice company trucks that I kept shine & polished up, & always teach someone to have respect for my truck !!, I've been out of the truck for awhile now, but I think its time to get back in to it
Heres another tip. If you or your company still uses Snap binders, wrap excess chain around the binder so the handle cant snap open while moving. DOT could also get you on this if they wanted too. 49 CFR 393.104(f)(3)
Thank you for that valuable information about your truck. As an outsider, we normally probably wouldn't even have a clue about those things that you do on any given day as you go about your day. That is really good to know now. I'm so glad that you have put that out there for us to be aware of. Thank you so much. Tbh the only thing that I was aware of from a Trucker is how much I money I could make from him lol. Opps my bad haha 😂 that of course was only from my past experience with a Trucker at the Truck Stops. When I was a bad girl lol 😂 now I changed my ways when I became a believer, and began serving the Lord. Thank God 🙌🙏🙌
Hey, I noticed that you don’t roll up your chains. I’m in Australia, most truckies (Aussie truckers) here have small buckets that hold one chain but some of us (myself included) prefer to roll them. I find it easier and quicker when pulling them out next time I need them.
Sounds to me like fashion trumps functionality. Sure, it's good to look good, but if time is spent looking good and then the complaint is that time could've been used profiting instead... It's a high-maintenance girl taking 4 hours to get ready for a dinner date, and then complaining that they aren't eating dinner before 9pm.
Surely if you're going to take your show wagon to work, you bring a ladder for the chaps to safely get on the bed and you can get up there and sweep the cack off? If that's your trailer, there are integrated ladders on trailers, if you want them. Personally as the slinger who has to unload steel and other bits of cack off wagons, don't bring your precious show wagon to work, this isn't pebble beach. I like a show wagon, to look at. Drag a reefer around instead.
just quit my job as a telehandler loading flatbed trucks with steel just like in the video, awesome job but I was looking for a rock truck job or something less stressful.
Hard braking or a crash, and the steel beams destroy the cab. The load has not been secured in any way in case the load moves forward. I wouldn't drive with such a binding.
Why don’t you have the metal cage on the cab I was always told it was safer just incase if your load goes flying forward into the cab for whatever reason
I just started my RU-vid channel 2/3 of my videos gained 4.5K views and my data shows 93% was from non subscribed now imagine if those 93% had just pressed subscribe I’d have a decent following by now 😂😂 I just gotta be patient haha
Sarcasm alert. -You're not alone in feeling levels of anxiety throughout the work day of other people around your equipment and cringing in situations. I'm a tanker driver, asphalt, fuel oil and road oil etc. Messy, nasty, hot, stinky, sticky stuff. I'm currently in a company unit and I get extremely defensive and confrontational when the loadout people and customers on the receiving end just clearly don't give a F about slinging product or making a mess on your trailer at all... It's a huge PITA to clean off and the cleaner we use is not cheap. 5 gal is about $370.00. Spray on a pressure wash off. Company gets real mad when you scrape marks on the aluminum skin.. But, end rant.... having pride in what you're doing is a huge reflection of what kind of person you are. And really good companies that have the values of employee retention, and taking care of their employees, first. They recognize that. And even in our line of transport We have customers that specifically ask for certain drivers to deliver to them. 🤷♂️ seems like I'm tooting my horn. But it's just facts. That's the level of trust that some of our customer base has with our company and its because of the mindset and character of the driver that has played a huge role in establishing that. And then of course there are ones that we really hate to go to, because no one gives a sh*t Have to take the good over bad and keep pushing forward. Keep winning, man. Keep leveling up 😎✌️
that all sounds great with what you do, same places all the time, running a flat bed on the spot market .. 80% we are waiting for hours .. because customers suck.. yes you are 100% correct man, but it's way different going to different places not mentioned forklift drivers don't give a fu**. my flat bed was Brand new and i told the forklift driver to not hit it, so he rams into it.. told them to get their shit 💩 of my truck .
RU-vid is tripping. I’ve been following you for the longest. I seen another youtuber said youtube is taking their subscribers. I just checked, and they unsubscribed me from you. I had to resubscribe to your channel. You need to let your followers know to double check and see if they are still subscribed to you.
Hi. Don't give up on this youtube jorney and your work. Be consisten and professional, and the rewards will come, if not on youtube then it will at the job you doing. I have full time job in one company for 18 years now, and I am getting rewards. Nothing to brag about, but everything comes with hard work, patience and a bit of gratitude. God bless you.
no way your in washington thats dope i saw you getting off 167 in puyallup when you were talking about calling a yard that looked like you could turn around in….i just subscribed
Flatbed work was great, but when I did it I was dirty and sweaty all the damn time. After loading or unloading and getting back in the truck dirty and sweaty as hell, got old real quick. I drove flatbed in the southeast where it was hot and humid. And the company I drove for ran me ragged.
I had a flatdeck driver the other day wait until I pulled up in the forklift to hop out of his truck and unstrap. Could've easily had it done while he waited for me now he's putting me behind schedule. Boy was I annoyed. I agree, loading and offloading wheb drivers are still in their cab, and a lot of times I'll wait for them to get out. I'm pretty seasoned with a forklift at this point and don't need a spotter but it's still nice to have someone keeping an eye, shit happens and we all know blindspots in some of those bigger forklifts are a nightmare. I've also had drivers get out after I loaded and insist half of the load be rearranged for other customer pickups. Nope, kick rocks, you had 20 minutes to get out of your truck and tell me that.
been subscribed for awhile now, got my cdl cause i was watching your videoes, but still wondering what’s up with the cummins? we getting a give away truck??👀👀
What you said was was something you only know because you’ve been screwed before “show them you are ready to be unloaded”, they see you getting things ready. It’s amazing how quickly everyone in a yard can disappear if they get the chance.
Been flat-bedding for almost 2 years now as a company guy, thinking of becoming a owner op in flat or might even go try car hauling as a company guy before I commit to buying equipment
Keep the content coming bro! I got into working flatbed hauling steel. I definitely learned a lot from watching you. Been rocking with you for a while now 💪
