In Flatliners, five medical students, obsessed by the mystery of what lies beyond the confines of life, embark on a daring and dangerous experiment: by stopping their hearts for short periods of time, each triggers a near-death experience - giving them a firsthand account of the afterlife. I loved the original Flatliners(1990) and I must have been sleeping under a rock bc I did not realize that they made a remake!! After watching this trailer I can see that they definitely made some adjustments to not only the vibe of the movie, but also he plot. I am excited to watch this remake but I don’t think it will live up to the original.

I saw the original years ago. I had it recorded on VHS. Saw it again on Netflix. Now I will check out this one. Most remakes don't live up. Maybe it could bias point of view from an older person. But I will give it a shot too.

I honestly feel so bad for Sophia. If her mother would've never put so much pressure on her in the first place than she would've never felt the need to do what she did to that other girl. Sophia's mother is the only one to blame for that whole mess.

This movie kinda gives me ptsd(post traumatic stress disorder) I’ve had heart problems and heart issues like chest pains and heart problems ever since I was 7 years old and when it first happened to me I thought I was dying because the chest pains would last around over a minute usually when people get chest pains it means they pulled a muscle and they just need to relax but that would only happen rarely and only for a few seconds but for me they last forever and it’s so bad because stunting your heart can actually kill u permanently in real life

I feel really sorry for you and that you had to experience those things. This is also one point the movie ignores: the physical consequences of this experiment aside the hallucinations.

TheMalkaMai thx and yea if u stunt someone’s heart on purpose ur basically murdering them and I was reading up about how every person in the movie who flatlined, they started to see their past and relive it saying that they all had been haunted by their past mistakes and flaws from the past

Jasmine Kashnii i feel i almost died in surgery for a throat operation and I felt like I was nothing just darkness. It took 4 hours to be awake and at first i could not see it was scary

This movie does not suck as bad as they say. I saw the original, had to see this because Nina Dobrev is in it along with a great young cast. I like the mix of tension drama and action.

I like movies of this type (the afterlife, reincarnation, etc ...) but I prefer books, plots like Remember Me by M. F. Masvil are my favorites (that novel is a must, it has action, mystery, drama, it has everything, I hope to see it one day in a movie).
