There are so many things that could benefit from these culinary Crystals. I like the idea of adding the maple flavor to sausage, but what about adding to pancake batter. The ginger would work really well in a lot of the stir fry recipes I use as would the lemon grass. I keep learning new things with your informative videos. Thank you

I'm a hobbyist home chocolatier. One of my favorite truffles to make-and a favorite for my family to consume!-is from the book *Chocolate Obsession*: malt ganache with honeycomb brittle. It's a truffle with a white chocolate ganache center that includes barley malt syrup. You scoop the centers into small balls, but before dipping them in tempered couverture, you roll each in crumbled homemade sea foam candy, crushed into small pieces (I sometimes use toffee bits when there isn't time to make the sea foam). With the malt in the ganache, and the crushed candy layer, it's an unusual and wonderful confection. You have me thinking about replacing the sea foam layer with culinary crystals, with some appropriate flavor-maybe toffee, butterscotch, honey, caramel, or maple. -Tom

I have a very basic vanilla keto cupcake recipe and have been searching for a standardized strength flavoring to use to alter the recipe. Commercial flavorings are very different in strengths and this could just be the answer i've been searching for!!

I make a plant based, no oil, no sugar carrot salad. I think the coconut flavor drops would be perfect to use in it. It's a very simple recipe: grated carrots, craisins, coconut, pecans, drained crushed pineapple - add the coconut flavor drops to the pineapple juice, a little honey and pour over the salad. We love it any time of the year, but it's great for the holidays too.

I think any of these would lend themselves to a 2nd ferment of Kombucha really well. Sassafras would make a probiotic sarsaparilla. Alternatively the would be fun to use in a finished whip cream to add a little something else to a dessert.

I would like to try the fruit ones in a cup of tea. I've made a copycat starburst with jalapeno flavor and it was actually really good. I bet that hot one would make an interesting candy. So many options with these.

I have been an beginning soda brewer since covid. I skipped the soda stream and have a 50 lb Co2 tank so I can carbonate anything I want. I am kind of stumped on a good recipe for vanilla cream soda though. I would choose flavors that would lend themselves to cream sodas like cherry, cotton candy, root beer, grape, vanilla, orange, or raspberry. I tried a lot of brands over the last 2 years starting with ones I could find locally. But I am always looking for that one thing that will bring my sodas up to the next level.

As someone who loves savory food more than sweet I am particularly intrigued in the possibilities here. Peanut flavor drops for peanut noodle salad or chicken satay. Hot chile pepper flavor drops mixed into chilaquiles. Coconut flavor drops in Thai coconut soup. Lots of different directions you could go here!

Do the Flavor Drops contain corn in any form? This looks like something that would be so much fun to try. Licorice, mint, lemon...oh my! Yes, please do enter me into the possibility of winning some of these. Thank you for the opportunity for someone. A recipe that i would like to try would be my anise cookies. I want a really strong anise flavor in them. I can get a hint of flavor using powdered anise, but i really love licorice and because most have wheat flour in them, I haven't been able to eat it in years since I had to go gluten-free. Again, thanks and blessings.

Would use some in Asian dishes & some to give gluten free pastries a boost of flavor as they can be bland. Would use some for tea and hot chocolate & to flavor the malted barley drink I use to sub for coffee since I can't drink real coffee anymore. I make my own yogurt and would experiment with fruit flavors. Would also be great to add to jams, jellies and preserves when they don't turn out as flavorful as I would like. Would love to try Lemongrass, Passionfruit, plum, praline, and various fruits. Kolache filling and jam thumbprint cookies would be good too! So many possibilities and in fact I looked this summer at different brands but could not decide which to try so I didn't get any of them.

Are these flavor drops more like candy type flavor or more like a natural flavor? I want to make a Keto (faux apple) dessert but use apple flavoring but don't want a candy flavor.
@Modernist_Pantry
@Modernist_Pantry 2 года назад
Depends on the flavor. Some are completely natural and other are not. They also do not taste 'artificial', which is why we like them.
