In today's vlog we head to Disney Springs for the Flavors of Florida culinary series featuring Wine Bar George! We learn how they make the delicious burrata and all about the local ingredients that make it so Florida specific, it was really and we learned so much! The culinary event ended with a sample of the burrata and it was amazing too! Then we explore more of the Flavors of Florida menu items around the Springs! The best corn we get here is from zephyrhills. It’s pretty much everywhere here. I actually like it better than that stuff from the store sometimes. It’s hard to grow anything that requires acid here as the soil doesn’t have it but in pots and hydroponics help. We are mostly citrus growers and some varieties are exclusive to Florida which I like to use.

Oh heavens, that’s so much serious chocolate before dinner. Srsly tho, no judgement, we know you’re doing this for us 😉. Yum burger & shake, wow. And rly appreciated you including all the wine info. Had no clue French Chablis is made with Chardonnay grapes. Dislike the oakiness of the usual chardonnay, so that’s very good info! Making plans for our first WDW trip & planning a Springs day just to 1. Chill and 2. Wine Bar George. After all your videos there, and among all the amazing restaurants, that’s my top choice bar none. George seems like a really swell guy as well. Thanks so much for this!

We have done the trip from AK to Sanaa in the past by Disney bus, it’s been a while ago now (2019?) so I can’t recall how long exactly, but definitely not as long as an hour and a half, assuming you don’t have to wait ages for a bus it’s a short trip. Thing is, we have waited for ages for a bus in the past and I think that’s why Disney advise leaving so much time. We once waited over an hour for a bus to arrive to take us from Magic Kingdom to get to Art of Animation, that was around midday. My advice would be either allow that much time, or even a little more and explore the resort if you’re there with time to spare. Kidani is beautiful, you can go outside and watch the animals and often there’s a ranger out there to chat to, or stop off at Jambo House which is a ten minute walk or a quick shuttle ride from Kidani (where Sanaa is) and look at the incredible lobby, African art etc. The other choice, if you’ve seen the resort before, or don’t want to miss too much time in the parks, is to get an Uber or Lyft over, it’s a very short trip, and then you don’t have to stress too much about missing your reservation. We are from the UK, love Sanaa and Animal Kingdom Lodge. Hope you have a fabulous trip in September, we are out again mid October.
