It’s nice but they should have used a Miyota 9075. It’s a great looking watch though, and the original design is refreshing. 👍🏻

I really love these Bradner models: bought two already, as gifts, because they’re such great value watches. However, I wouldn’t call Spinnaker a microbrand; they’re one of many from a large international company, called Dartmouth. They own their production factories, not paying third parties to produce watches for them as it happens with microbrands. Plus, the production volumes are pretty substantial, scaling up the business to high levels of success, regardless of the brand: Spinnaker, AVI-8, Dufa, Duxot, Earnshaw, etc… Great video and review as usual!! I have this watch in ochre yellow, with the 25% discount. It's an eye-catching original design and very well finished, for the price. I share your thoughts on the clasp: it works well enough, but its not up to the standard of the rest of the package. On first inspection, I thought the upper crown for the 24hr bezel was too easy to turn and would move in use, but this has turned out not to be an issue. A Miyota 9000 series movement would have been a great option: I'd have paid extra for that.

You forgot about the non screw down crown on the 2 o clock position as one of its negative points. Also, they should have used a much better movement, say a Miyota 9075, for the price that they are asking for. Great review, btw.👍🏼

I agree....my clasp is janky....and, it would seem a color matched rubber strap is great but it was too much color matching....so, I put the bracelet back on and at some point I will probably replace the bracelet with a jubilee with a CLASP that works.

I agree with most regarding the choice of movement. But I have an NH35 Bradner and think this is an excellent showing. As I don't have an NH34 in the collection yet this may be the way to go. I'll also say that Spinnaker stood behind their product when I had an issue with the other one. Not every microbrand does and that is a big deal. You don't just wear the watch, you wear the brand.

The dial and bezel are attractive enough, but boy , what a lump ! - and I presume the exhibition back ( not sapphire, even at this price point) is to show off the rather conservative font makers name. Slim down the case depth, add a screw down back with a nice logo/design element , keep the reliable motor...oh, before I forget - don't ask more than £250 - not for me, San Martin all day long.
