FLCL was Such a pivotal staple near the beginning of my animation career! I can't believe it's been 20 years since I used to play all six episodes on loop with my little portable DVD player in my Nickelodeon office back in 2001!

GAINAX is so cool

This show just oozes passion in such a tight package, it also helps that gainax got so much money from Evangelion that the animators produced such nice stuff

Imo flcl progressive gets too much undeserved hate, the show is beautifully animated, and contrary to what some people say, it does experiment a lot with animation

FLCL is proof that when Gainax isn't being fucked over by budget problems, they've got (or at least, they had) some of the best animators in the industry.

Thanks for posting this! I didn't watch much of it for fear of spoilers, but the animation combined with the music gave me a sense of euphoric nostalgia ( even though I've never seen FLCL) and I am now compelled by an unknown force to check it out
