What's your favorite song on here? Mine's always been Blues Drive Monster. Also, I noticed that one of the songs that appeared in the show isn't in here..Well it wasn't included on any of the soundtracks either! I forgot to include the track Happy Bivouac, sorry! like, its actually insane that FLCL has so much fantastic music playing all the time. This OST is an hour and half, which is basically 3 episodes, which is half the running time of the show. No cut corners, something amazing happened here.

The Pillows are gift to humanity

I've always felt this anime was instantly nostalgic and its themes and portrayal strangely familiar. After watching it again about a decade later I now think its because it reminds me of dreams. Strange and seemingly doesn't make sense but makes perfect sense at the same time. Everything in the show from the baseball themes, older unavailable women, and robots is a allusion or metaphor just like how plots of our dreams are.

Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Trigun, FLCL…these anime soundtracks are soooo dope why can’t more anime soundtracks be like these?

my friend who just died was such a huge fan of the pillows. i miss him..... glad this music brought him such joy.

I just discovered FLCL might be the most emotional experience I had in my life, turning this into _the_ anime of my life. This shit is too good, and even if 2 and 3 are not as good, they won't be able to ruin this.

I'm listening to this while writing an essay for uni. This music is just so nostalgic although I watched FLCL last year for the first time and didn't know about The Pillows before that but this style of music was what I was jamming to when I was in my early teens. That period of my life was far from perfect but they were the care-free days where my worries about the future still seamed far away. Now as I'm typing this I'm in my junior year of university, unsure of what I want to do and anxious about the future that now is almost here, the adult life and all the responsibilities that come with it. It's music like this that bring me to joy and make me think about the pleasant memories of the good old days and make me think that just maybe everything will work out at the end and one day I'll be able to reminisce of this time with a smile and still with The Pillows music playing in my earphones.

When I was a teenager, my friend would watch this series over and over and jam this soundtrack everywhere. He took his own life about 15 years ago and everytime i hear this soundtrack now it brings me back to chilling on his front step. I don't get emotional much but this freezes time for me and reminds me how grateful I am to have the people in my life.

Every single song is perfect. The pillows rocks!

There's something about this nostalgic music that heals the soul. I remember when I was a kid staying up late to watch flcl on adult swim even though I didn't know what was going on plot wise I just knew it was cool and made me feel things I couldn't quite articulate until I was an adult and now after all these years...I get it, and its a beautiful thing being able to listen to the sound of simpler days. If I have to choose a favorite it would probably be the ending theme ride on shooting star which is fitting because when the show went off it felt like my life was starting.

I wish I could understand my feelings with this anime as a whole. I'm not an anime guy but I decided to give FLCL a try cause it was only 6 episodes long. Would you look at that, he said he's not an anime guy but now FLCL is his favorite anime. It's weird, despite being full of exaggerated fantasy, I still find it oddly relatable. I watched it in its entirety twice, for the first time in 2018 when I was 14 and a second time a couple of weeks ago, now I'm 18. I'm still very young but the setting is very nostalgic to me. I can relate to Naota saying that "nothing happens here", I've been living in the same small town for 18 years, there's nothing interesting here. I can't even see my friends cause I live in a different neighborhood far away from them. The soundtrack for the anime is also somehow very nostalgic to me, especially Last Dinosaur. I don't why it reminds me of simpler times of being 7 and not having internet and not even cable TV. Eh, I don't know how many people will read this comment but it'll be fun to return to this comment when I'm 21 to see if anything has changed in the next 3 years. Hopefully this town will have something fun for once

I find this series to come around at the perfect times. I was in grade 6 and was 12 years old when I wanted the og Flcl and that how old Naoto was. Now in this new season, our main character Hidomi is 14 and is most likely a grade 8 or 9 student which old old I am right now. All of this only makes this series more relatable to be and increases the enjoyment. I praise this show so much.

I'm so ready for summer, I will binge watch this in my bed with my sheets pushed aside, the fan blowing in my fan, the sun shinning through my window, the sweat on my skin and a popsicle in my hand all the way till the sky is dark and I've gotten tired or knocked out with FLCL playing in the background.

The Pillows are the sole reason I got into music like indie rock and grunge. The second I heard these songs when I first watched FLCL with my brother, I knew this was my type of music. And this music is of which paved the path to metal genres for me. Simply beautiful where life takes you.

finding it hard to concentrate my adhd-laced brain on my undergraduate thesis with the lo-fi & traditional study music in the background, so tried listening to this while studying and it's been working for me! perhaps the accompanied message of FLCL and the placement of the songs in the show contributed greatly to my sudden burst of motivation. thank u The Pillows !

4 years after this upload, and almost 20 years after the show aired when I saw it that first time. This has still been the most nostalgic and deep set sense of hiareth I have ever felt. It feels like I lived through the show in a thousand past lives. even typing this now pulls on my heart and soul.

I lost everything in a housefire (including my dog 😢) on July 3rd and I had 3cds of FLCL soundtracks (some had dialogue in Japanese that I obviously couldn't make out, but I digress). Hearing this makes me so friggin happy and I got a really good Bluetooth device today so I can educate my co-workers with rockin music that's NOT AMERICAN 👏😂😂 and it sounds GREAT, thanks again with much love Cowboy Bepop, Akira, GITS & Trigun are next 😄
