Love love love everthing. OMG! The crystal decanter is stunning. The painting of the lilacs is stunning too. Great deals too. The Nativity set is adorable. I still have the pieces of when my Dad used to set up every Christmas with a running mill and water. Beautiful precious memories. Have a great week and thank you for sharing❤
Oh my gosh!!! I have my mothers manger and it has the same figures! The angel is a different color, subdued colors of if memory serves golden tones and has the Gloria across it, it does hang about on a nail. I treasure it. So cool to see that you got the figures! Love your silver pieces that you picked up as well! Great haul!❤
Beautiful finds and such bargains. As my Dad used to say about my mother when she went shopping, “You’re like a bee to the honey.” So many lovely treasures. I know you’re grateful! Happy Autumn! 🍂🍁🍂🍯🍯🐝🍁🍂🌾💐💫
She was ahead of the times! I bet the clothing fair in New York sells these for $300. That’s why I was so happy to get it for $1. $300 for a towel sewn together is crazy.
You made me smile - having a jumble pile of beautiful silver brushes "it's a good problem to have". :) as always - love to see your finds and collections.
I love the ruby and clear glasses the best for a $1.00, what a steal. I once saw a tall like 10 inch vase like that at Habitat with the red glass and clear, I should have got it... I take my red glass vases out at Christmas 🎄 and some I keep out all year long
But I did pass up the Victorian child’s rocking chair that the lady wouldn’t take less than $500 for in the same neighborhood because she saw it on eBay for 1100 😂😂😂
Love the towel coat. I have seen some gorgeous robes made out of old chenille bedspreads, also. WOW, brush big score. Crystal is really coming back. Love, "it's a good problem to have". Isn't it amazing how much difference in the older hanger than the new ones?🩷🩷
I just love lilacs, and having an old oil painting of them is a dream. 💜 Have you ever tried cleaning an oil painting? I have several that need it and really want to try, but I am afraid.
Any art conservator would probably keel over and die if they read what I’m about say. But I just take a wet paper towel or a wipe and give it a quick wipe. Oil paint is very sturdy. Even acrylic. I wiped this one down with a disinfectant wipe.
Your 830 marked silver pieces are most likely Norwegian silver. If the NN turns out to be NM, then it designates a Norwegian Pattern similar to a copyright mark. You are drawn to international treasures.
I knew you’d know or research it. I also googled it after I made the video. Lol. It was NM! Awesome. That I did not find info on that. I was guessing a makers mark or brand.
@@TarnishedTreasures1 I hate to give dissertations on your finds, but they are such quality and deserve you knowing just how unique they are. The floral painting and leaves have an accomplished look of a talented botanical artist. The three footed silver Norwegian bowl is a home run. Those feet could easily be mistaken for Irish and the Georgian period, but they are not. Definitely Norway. They appear on other Norwegian silver and could be as early as 1900s. Those silver pieces sell in the hundreds of dollars. That type of foot adds grace and an airy look to a piece that might otherwise seem heavy. That is the design eye appeal. Oh, your ruby tumblers cut to clear are not newer Bohemians or Italian glass. You got the old ones. Yippee! I’ll go away now.
It’s funny because one time I thrifted a cashmere sweater and it had a perfume scent on it. I did not want to wash the sweater because it smelled so good and today I figured out what the scent is. Obviously, Gucci bloom!
Love the painting and the brush! I have a question because I pretty sure I have seen you do this, how to put embellishments on old photos for the holidays in way you remove them with out damaging photo. Hope .you are feeling better.
If you put the photo under glass, then you can just paint, glue, or tape things on the glass. If you want to add embellishments directly to the photo, I guess you could adhere them with some poster putty. That probably wouldn’t hurt it when you removed it.
I don’t know. I was hoping but I googled and it looks like they could be old or could be from bed bath and beyond 😂. The man mostly had older antiques that he was selling but who knows.
