At 5:25 you passed right over a Griffey Jr. 1989 Topps ML Debut rookie card (yes the design is just like '90 Topps but it's '89. Not too many other big rookies, I like the Tanana and the Gibson. Nice '67 Kaat too. Nice stuff! I'd have also bought this right up!
I would love to find that for $75. Even if you made team lots at $20 each you'd make almost $600 back. That Griffey Jr card would be one I would keep though...
Bro, the jersey Joe Walcott 1951 Topps ringside last sold for $1800 as a PSA eight. That card by itself got you your money back even in the rough shape that it’s in.
I think you did very good. From what I saw, I think you'll get your money back and a lot more if you get several of those cards graded by PSA and they come back a PSA 9 or PSA 10. The centering and corners looked good on a good number of those rookie and star cards.
I don't like the term "Junk Wax",..... many of those players are now hall of famers and their cards are worth collecting. These boxes would easily make your $75 back,....and then some. I have most of these cards in my personal collection.
"Not any huge names!?" For that era there's a bunch of big name HoF guys in there. 🤦🏻♂️ What more do you want? All the top players from those sets are all in there.
Depending on what early 1970's baseball and football non-star cards are in the 5000-count box, there still could be some good value there: Several of those sets included a much rarer high number series, and even non-star cards in good condition can be worth a bit. I think you did pretty well just on the star cards, but if there are high series cards, their total value might easily exceed the value of the stars.
Wow look at all those great cards that have been well taken care of. You got an awesome amazing deal for only $75. Just 1 high grade professionally graded card alone can fetch $75. You hit the lottery and the seller took a huge major loss.
do you Have any Fred Belitnikoff , Ken Stabler, Phil Vilpiano , Dave Casper, Ray Guy , Broadway Joe, Cliff Branch Haven Moses , Rick Upchurch, Craig Morton?
Yeah, I would say you definitely got your $75 worth! I believe the first Bruce Suter card you saw was a rookie. Wish I could make a find like that! You literally are holding my childhood in your hands. Wait, that sounds weird. You are literally holding my childhood cards in your hand ha ha

With all the respect cards from 1976 and on are worth nothing except gem mint rookie star from 1976 till 1983. Recommend anything in great condition before 1975. I have bought 1967 baseball cards in near mint condition for a dollar a piece. Be careful before you spend money on worthless baseball cards. Bad investment. I prefer to spend 75 dollars on a Roger Maris 1967 grade 8 PSA than a thousand modern era baseball cards. Unfortunately, baseball cards hobby has declined since 1995 to the present time
Like comic books the same with baseball cards. I wasted 200 dollars per 1990 Fleer wax case that year and now it is worth probably between 50 to a 100 dollars each. 10 wax cases for 2,000 dollars. Topps, Fleer, and Donruss made zillions of those cards that are worth not much in today's market. Invest in baseball cards before 1970's

Are you kidding me $75 for both box of cards? Just the Bo Jackson is worth over a $1000 and the Ken Griffey Jr going for thousands of dollars Lol. You hit a gold mine and I'm sure you're going to make a lot of money in return.
The younger generation can suck it. There are plenty of people who still buy vintage cards. Of course they're not hot like today's rookies. Nothing has changed there my man.
