Saw Johnny Nash live in the early 80's. Gerry Mulligan.. great ! Carmen Mc Crae.. Mom worked with her, somewhere.. ( New York ) . Wow !! I did not know about that Helen Merrill record being so valuable.. Em Arcy OG.. What a Beauty, Mark ! Some won't appreciate this.or don't know the provinence of a record like that,. but I definitely do !!
Seems like you were at the right place at the right time. I have that same version of Odessey and Oracle. I love that Helen Merrill record - I have a 2011 WaxTime re-issue. I'd rather have the mono EmArcy of course lol Thanks for showing the records!
I cleaned the Merrill. It does not have many scratches but there is surface noise throughout. I cleaned the cover and it came out great. I will most likely sell it due to the condition of the vinyl.
Sweet Al !! Let's Stay Together ".. might get the re press. David " The Man" Ruffin.. and Marvin ! Outstanding Soul finds .. Now I'm gonna watch ! So curious to see the mystery record. Zombies real good. Stand.. killer Freddie King !
Wow Mark, lots of great CDs for sure! Very nice Dylan LPs also - love that great soul music, nice finds! Oh my, some classics you picked up there, Country Joe & the Fish, Sly Stone, Wanda Jackson, etc . . . fantastic!
WOW! In addition to the HM album, Wanda, Zombies, Aretha, Green, Gaye, King, Four Tops, Black & Silver Decca McRae. Love those onion or rice paper inner sleeve, makes me want a spring roll 😂 Fuuuuudge! That Merrill record is beautiful!! What a gem! 💎 That was more like a GEE MARKET! Congrats on all those great gets!
I'd forgotten about all of those fantastic albums. That was quite a year for the flea market. It was great to find Helen out in the wild in a trailer filled with country music. It's always a thrill to find something like that. Thanks, Steve
Hey, Michael How have you been? Were you able to pick up a copy of "Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section" in mono? Speaking of WOW - that album sounds amazing!!
@@mad4vinyl802 I wasn’t. I have the Analogie Productions stereo pressing from 1992. I think it was catalog number 08 or 09. Wild. It sounds great. And I prefer stereo :) I’ll grab the forthcoming Craft/AS reissue to a/b. Love that you scored that Helen. Insane!
On to the vinyl.. " Desire" is so great ! Stevie !! Cool Madhouse.. Have that Aretha In Paris. I need " Spirit In The Dark" ! Picked up three Aretha titles that I never had.. on Cd. Gil Scott and B Jackson !! Have never seen that, ever..
There's Turrentine !! Love Ani DiFranco.. saw her about 4 times.. early 2000's. That Kenny Burrell I have on a digipack, surprised how outstanding it is. Love that Warhol Cover !!
Getting really hard to find anything for a steal these days every ones to clued up now . Best I’ve found is Black sabbath ist album on vertigo in by + and jade warrior last autumns dream on vertigo nearly mint . Sold that in lockdown for $200 and regret it still have black sabbath . That zombies is quite a find bruv .
Hey Mark, just found your channel, popped up on my home page. Some really great finds! But how can you beat Helen Merrill for $1??? Don’t think you can…very very cool find! Cheers man!
@@mad4vinyl802 To me the ones I get the luckiest with tend to be some of my most cherished albums in my collection. But thank you! Looking forward to the next video Mark!

Congrats on the Merrill album. To be truthful I would have gone right on by the album and not even give it a second thought. That is wonderful that you know that much about these older records and know how to find gold. Do you collect the CDs or do you sell them Mark? You have more set for your next show. A lot of interesting jazz. Your knowledge blows my mind.
I’ll keep the CDs I don’t have and sell the rest. I was so fortunate to find so much soul music. Al Green title is flawless !! Definitely a once in a lifetime find. Thanks Steve!
Mark Al Green use to be easy to find and inexpensive. Bargain bin stuff. Now it has skyrocketed. I need to get some of his stuff back in the collection again. Amazing how hard it is to find common records now.
Glad you struck gold, you deserve it! The Flea Markets haven't opened here yet because the weather still sucks, but the yard sales are really starting to pick up at least. Great Ani DeFranco set, I have that one, but one of the discs in it is wrong (I didn't check it close enough at the 2nd hand store). Wow, some really nice jazz CDs there. Let me know how that Art Ensemble of Chicago CD is, I have a chance to buy the LP, but it's a blind buy, so I'm kind of hesitant. Love that "Desire" album, I think it's one of his best. Great soul pickups, like you said, it's tough to find it in such great condition. I don't think I've seen that cover of Odessey and Oracle before. Amazing picks, can't believe they were only $1, so glad you found them before anyone else. Love the Eartha Kitt album. Love Nancy Sinatra, but that is one I haven't found yet, I try to pick up everything that I see by her. Love your excitement for that wonderful grail. Incredible.
That's amazing how well the previous owner kept his CD's. Blood On The Tracks is my favorite Dylan album but I do like the other two as well. I'm a big fan of Warren Zevon's The Envoy album. I like the soul pickups. I never see any of Jeanie C. Riley except for Harper Valley P.T.A. You found some amazing albums. It is hard to find Julie London albums where the covers aren't in terrible condition. Wonderful grail find.
The CDs are really in phenomenal shape. I hope the vendor returns with more!! I’m in the process of re-discovering Dylan! I missed out on so much the first time around. I was a very casual Dylan fan. Thanks Randall!
Wow, so many incredible finds. I'm conflicted about how I feel about those CDs sleeves. I think it would be cool on digipacks. Otherwise, I am not so sure. Very nice collection of stuff you found.
