Especially when Matt was throwing out massive hints with literally every NPC either being disgusted, distrustful, or at least making note of his heritage. It's like the black/white guy being in a 1950s white/black neighborhood and some heavy shit goes down. Best believe that everyone made note of your presence

@@MagizardInternet That's not true, but Jester is pretty unpredictable. She's a surprisingly nuanced character, as her name may suggest. She is both a childlike lover of whimsy and one of the strongest mental and physical members of the party. She is impulsive and intentionally funny and dumb at times, but she has a ton of heart. She also has an incredible amount of denial surrounding her past. Her childhood and past is honestly a pretty negative one, and it probably should have turned her into a different person, but because she is so committed to not realizing the severity of a lot of the things that happened to her in her old life, that's what gives her her positivity. You can't really predict randomness, and you need to be able to have Jester's sheer inquisitiveness and randomness in order to truly play her. Liam is able to embody Jester very well though.

Me... I was on speaking terms with people from every possible level, from the lowly nerds to the popular girls, the athletes, band kids, gamers, etc. And at a high school of over 2000 kids, there were maybe 6 or 8 people that I actually liked talking to.

This was so me, except I learned most people are great 1 on 1, but get them into groups and everything goes to shit.

See, I took the opposite approach. I rarely ever made a friend, but when I did, they were a person I could actually, kind of, just about, maybe, almost tolerate in small doses. It was great.

Nah he could actually be acting pretty smart about it. Pay full price on the small stuff to establish the relationship and full price on the big stuff to strengthen it so you can get discounts on everything in between and eventually the small and big stuff too.

Beau doesn't trust Nott, but she expects Nott to trust her? Its just backwards logic.

@@shuheihisagi6689 Beau is immature and hot-headed, it's a part of the character, she's hypocritical and contradictory often because she has very few set morals, and usually just wants to piss people off and get her way however that may come. It's intentional, and I think its hard to ignore how comedic that archetype can be when paired with a more "straight man" like Fjord.

@@kubafin1376 I am further down the line now, and I can appericate her growth as a character. Because I feel she was facing tougher choices. Its just really hard to root for someone in the beginning when they have almost no likeble traits for the first 15 episodes.

I disagree that she wasnt very likeable in th3 first 15 episodes. She mightve been a bit gruff but her hypocritical brand of 'no bs' is entertaining to play out to see how it affects the group

Personally I love how they still include Ashley even though she couldn’t be there for many weeks because of her schedule. I think for many introverts, it would truly mean a lot when friends still include you. I know it would for me

@@kitten-inside I don't think he was trying to be funny, he was trying to be in character. It's pretty ridiculous that nobody else in the group was that bothered about finding out more about her when she's been extremely mysterious and shady. They've just been involved in some massive political scheme, it makes no sense that they would all just be cool with Yasha hanging around them despite them knowing absolutely nothing about her. And as nice as Ashley seems, I find it pretty disappointing that she didn't seem to spend any time off camera preparing some explanation of where she had been and what she had been doing during her absence. I think Sam's relentless questioning was a combination of Nott's realistic suspicion/curiosity, and Sam trying to give Ashley some opportunity to actually give her character some depth, but she just completely failed at the improv and seemed to hide behind "Yasha isn't ready to reveal her secrets yet", despite the fact that there's no way the rest of the party would actually let that slide. I actually think the way they've handled Ashley/Yasha's absence has been pretty lazy and broken a lot of immersion. If I were in Ashley's position I would think the least I could do would be to spend an hour or two deciding what my character would realistically have been doing during those times I wasn't at the table.

@@DOKTORPUSZ As much as I love these guys and this campaign, from where I'm at so far I agree 100%. Hope to see something change a little further on now that Ashley actually came back at this point, but it's definitely been very out of character and frustrating that everyone implicitly trusts Yasha whose been there like, 10% of the time so far and whose PC is lazy about backstory.

@@chuckn4851 I'm up to episode 70 now and we have explored more of Yasha's character, but I feel like most of that has just been down to Matt doing some serious DM'ing. It kinda feels a lot like Yasha is a character that Matt made, and Ashley is just playing as her every couple of months. I'm still enjoying it though and I bear Ashley no ill will at all. I can't exactly expect much more from her end considering she's absent for more sessions than she's present, and I doubt she has the time to have watched the full 4 hour session every week to stay fully in the loop. Enjoy watching though! Some really exciting stuff ahead for you :D Also did you see they've been approved for a Mighty Nein animated series on Prime?! I can't wait!

I don't even think Travis had full knowledge of the mechanics of the card game. 7, 5, 3 is the second best on each roll but did he know to add or was Travis just guessing. I haven't watched in Talking shows so if Travis discuss it then I would like to know. If Travis didn't know then the last bet was amazing.

Travis is such an underrated smart roleplayer. You see him figure stuff out before everyone else at the table ALL THE TIME! Yet because he played Grog some people still think he's just a big funny man. He's brilliant.

But they're THE GENTLEMAN's vials! So worth it.

Also, she left a positive impression on the Gentleman there, so it was totally worth it

For all that she's sweet and protective of Caleb, she's still a goblin, and that means she's going to do stupid things and takes stupid risks to acquire shiny things. It's a compulsion. Also, she thought the "test" would kill the Gentleman and they'd have him out of their hair and be blameless in how it happened.

I think the implication was pretty clear that they didn't actually have an option there. They would have either been forced to do it, killed outright, or kidnapped.

To be fair, it was pretty clear there wasnt a choice being given. They were taking their blood, either they could give them a small amount willingly, or they take far more then they needed by force.

I think OP's point is that they didn't really even question it at all and also didn't at least ask if they could discuss it as a group first.

It really was a: "Be my slaves" with no desire to reflect on the matter.

And I'm not sure they realized it at all.
