I really don't understand why Christine did not as much recognition as Stevie- to me, she was just as beautiful a voice and presence as Stevie. Does anyone else agree with me, thanks. Anyway, RIP Christine, angels in heaven are hearing you sing right now and forever.
One simple thing, Nicks craves attention while Christie was content in her own world. Not pulling Nicks or McVie just two very different people plus McVie was a part of the band making all around contributions for years even doing album artwork, writing songs and performing. Nicks while liking the attention isn't mean or hateful, she was always willing to share the spotlight. The real story is how this band was able to have two incredibly gifted ladies of rock and not implode. Credit to one is credit to the other I think.
Saw the news about her death on the TV just now, this song being played in the background, and I remembered that tune buried somewhere long ago in my subconscious. I had to come find it. Such a fine singer. May she rest in peace
You and me both! She was so awesome and truly a beautiful and incredibly talented singer, songwriter and musician! Will always cherish her performances! ❤️ 🎤🎼🎹🎶
Мы все любим эту женщину, которая подарила нам столько удовольствия и счастья. Люблю и тех, кто любит её. Нас объединяет любовь к ней😊 Покойся с миром, наша любимая вокалистка, музыкант, композитор, женщина 🙏
Can't agree more. Christine is more of the backbone of FM than Stevie Nicks.. Stevie got all the fan boys because she's "cute" Christine is infinitely more talented.
My favorite travelling song. If I haven't heard it in a while it'l make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. You hear that Christine. I get a "hair rise" out of your voice. Don't change a thing.
Christie, I lost my wife the same year the world lost you. Our generation is passing before my eyes. I love, I miss you, Conni "Everywhere." But, even in Heaven, I will find you again.
Right up there with the biggies ,Christine has ,as someone mentioned ,like fine brandy. Yes. Soul . And Lindsey's guitar , what a pair. And Mick's percussion , it's heaven , and Stevie, okay , I love them all.Thank you for the music that sends me back in time like a time machine when I hear it . I had a 69 Grand Prix with Rumors on 8 track ,in-dash. ;) 🎸 I miss them there days(daze)
@@medomoreno 2 beautiful women always sisters in love and life up in heaven 😇🙏😇 Christine Anne McVie and her sister in action Stephanie Lynn aka Stevie Nicks 2 gorgeous voices absolutely blended together Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac is absolutely perfect thanks so much and extremely sweet and darling very legendary rest in peace my sweet woman 💔😢😇🙏🤗🤢
I have so much respect for Christine. She was constantly underrated yet she continued because she knew she was a part of something amazing. I can't imagine this song being sung by anyone but her. She has aged so well too!
I've been to some of the best concerts of the golden era but the time I saw Christine sing "You Make Loving Fun" is one of the ones that will always stand out. Aimee Mann doing "Voices Carry" is another.
Like so many boys in the 70's I had a crush on Stevie but as I got older I grew to appreciate the vocals and beauty of Christine. I feel she has aged more gracefully than Stevie.
It's pretty much this and some Talking Heads stuff from Stop Making Sense. Unlike some of the Talking Heads songs, this song was fine on the studio album but it's just elevated here!
No words that haven't already been said,a sad day for Mac fans and Music in general.R.I.P. Christine, your music will carry on far beyond your short time here...
Rest in Peace Christine. I lost a huge chunk of my '70's upbringing hearing of your passing. I just loved your voice. One note out of your mouth and it was distinctly you. Everybody thought that about Stevie, but it was you!! Always a classy gal and I admired you so much. Thanks for the songs. 🥰❤️
This wee soul is devastated to hear you passed away today. Christine, thank you for your awesome voice and songs that mark every year of my life and I reckon the lives’ of so many others. Rest in Peace you beautiful soul. In answer to the song you sing on this track… YES, I hope you are with everyone, everywhere.
Well, this happens when real musicians play live. Fleetwood Mac sounds here even better than the original version. Christine McVie is a World-class singer and composer, and she looks gorgeous and stylish. Kudos to this lady.
Not exactly. Take a look in the shadows. Fleetwood Mac Stevie Nicks - vocals, tambourine Lindsey Buckingham - guitars, banjo on "Say You Love Me", vocals Christine McVie - keyboards, piano, vocals, accordion on "Tusk", tambourine on "Say You Love Me", maracas on "Everywhere" John McVie - bass guitar, background vocals on "Say You Love Me" Mick Fleetwood - drums, percussion Additional musicians Brett Tuggle - keyboards, guitar, background vocals Neale Heywood - guitar, background vocals Lenny Castro - percussion Sharon Celani - background vocals Mindy Stein - background vocals
I agree with previous comments. Christie has the voice of an angel. Few can keep a beat like Mic, and Lindsay, all I can say is wow. Thanks for a few minutes of happiness.
I love how deferential Stevie is when they perform Christine’s great songs. Stevie seems perfectly happy to recede into the background to her sister, perform group vocals, and dance around in celebration of her friend’s song. I think it is bourne out of personal and creative respect for each other.
Love that they NEVER have competed...do not have to.... and they compliment each other I love them BOTH! I just got to see them in Nashville Feb 27th and it was a great show... except for lack of Lindsey Buckingham.
YES I LOVED WATCHING STEVIE DO THAT AT CONCERT I WAS AT TEO WERKS AGO...UNFORTUNATELY CHRISTIE CANT HOLD NOTES LIKE SHE USED TO..STEVIE HAD TO HELP HER....I REALLY MISS LINDSEY..NOT SAME WO HIM!!
Love this Observation. Real people with real passion and real confidence in their real talent are like this. No need to have it be “about them” if they know it’s about the actual art xo
Christine McVie - this song is a great testimony to her talent. Fleetwood Mac would have been lost without her. Her legacy will live on. I bow to her in respect.
This classy song by Christine brings back a flood of tears each time I hear it. So many fond memories of times gone by with the love of my life, Karen Ann, who was so courageous in her two year battle she lost to no symptom ovarian cancer on March 20 2015. Everywhere leaves me, a widower, in drenched inforever tears. Memory Eternal.
Hi Dan, Thanks so much for sharing your and Karen Ann's story. This music and Fleetwood Mac have a special vibe and energy which is so memorable and, in your case the wonderful thing is that you can return often to revisit all of the sounds and emotions that you both enjoyed so much. May God Bless you and keep you forever together, now when you come to watch the YT videos and in time to come when you leave this place to return to your Karen Ann once more. I had a slightly similar such occurrence with the lass who was my 1st true love and we, too, revelled together enjoying all FM music from the early 70's onward. I totally empathise and come back regularly just as yourself. Take care as you move forward on your journey.
I miss her so much.😢. I couldn't agree more. Christine was my favorite member in my favorite band. They're the greatest band of all time. We will never see this level of talent again in this lifetime. The Chain is forever broken. 💔
@@tikneshiabeauford7289 My favorite has to be Stevie Nicks, hands down. Brilliantly talented woman. And you're right, it's very sad that they won't all ever be together again. Didn't Nick Fleetwood also recently pass away?
@@roccosophie6498 I love Stevie. My Sister and I just saw her with Billy Joel in Kansas City, MO. She was amazing and did a beautiful tribute to Christine. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Mick is still very much alive, thank goodness!❤️
@@tikneshiabeauford7289 I wished I could have seen that. Is it on youtube? Every time I see Stevie Nicks sing, I'm astounded by her talent for singing and writing. I'm very happy to hear that "Mick," is still alive!🙂
Her voice hits my heart different, could it be because my mother used to play this song when I was a baby😭and my grandmother who past December 2021, loved this song and I would listen to this song with her, rip my grandma, and rip Christine ❤ 2 totally different people 1 i knew the other I didn’t but loved just the same, both in the space of 2 years have left❤️😭 2020/2021/2022 has been the most shitest of times to be alive
Jennie Woods-Glue Yes, you are right Jennie - thanks to you and Old Blue I have come to really appreciate the magic of this lady's voice. When Old Blue mentioned 'Chicken Shack' I had no idea Christine McVie then Christine Perfect sang "I would rather Go Blind" - I am learning new things all the time.
My heart...Thank-you Christine and all of Fleetwood Mac for creating some of the most iconic pieces of music to grow up and old with. We'll never " STOP BELIEVIN." Love you all!!!
I actually discovered Christine before The Mac, in 1984, with her solo album. Then Fleetwood Mac, then Peter Green. So thank you Christine. RIP and God bless you sweetheart 🙏
My favorite female artist. I've been in love with her since high school 1972. Great voice, great singer, great songwriter and just something about her!
My heart is truly broken to hear of Christine's passing yesterday ❤️🩹. I love this song and sooo many others by Christine and Fleetwood Mac ❤️. Growing up in the 70's in NYC listening to Fleetwood Mac was magical when I look back. My sincere condolences to all the family, friends and all who's lives you touched through your music ❤️. You definitely were and will always be a part of my life through your songs and music 🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️♾️ Fly high with Angels 🕊️🕊️🕊️
RIP CHRISTINE!!! Your voice was one of a kind! You left us with a lot of great/timeless music but your presence on earth will definitely be miss! Rest easy Queen 👑 🕊️ ❤
Fleetwood mac forever. I was born in 82 but I remember my dad listening to this group quite a bit and then I just grew up listening to them. One of the most amazing bands.
+Chris McVie I love this song 87 was an amazing year bought my buick grand national and met my ex wife. bless her and cruised Noland rd. in Independence mo. hell ya the good old days.
Christine Perfect-Mcvi yes she is , indeed Linsey Buckingham improves his guitar playing skills the older he gets and has been much underrated.Lindsay plays a tight guitar melody even when in a improvise or " jam" mode.Great control ! What a group, that has given all of us decades of great music.... to behold !
For those who spend their days idolizing Kardashians and Bachelorettes, have a good look at what a "lady" is. Definition of class and despite the internal tire fire that was Fleetwood Mac was, she conducted herself with absolute grace and dignity.
Coincidentally just an hour before I saw the public release of her passing I was playing this RU-vid video. Our loss of her is shocking and sad. Having had her in our lives was a blessing.
Christine McVie is a lovely lady and sings so beautifully, I heard you in L.A. Christine at a Warner Bros. private concert, you were fabulous , as always. fan.
I have always loved Cristine McVie and her wonderful talent. It's also amazing to watch a self trained, no lessons, master guitarist like Lindsey B. There is not a singer in the world that wouldn't want him as their guitarist. He just doesn't miss a beat and makes it looks so easy. Him playing - Never Going Back Again is my favorite!
I just love Lindsey's guitar work on this, that right hand style of his is like two guitars playing. I notice cover bands doing this song struggle to get Lindsey Buckingham's signature sounds in both guitar and vocals. Sort of sad he's no longer in the band.
Lindsey’s guitar work is brilliant to watch on everything. I used to really love Stevie but I’m absolutely outraged that she threw a hissy fit and insisted the band sack him - or else she’d leave. Just because he dared to laugh at her droning on and on with a speech - what a pathetically self-important reaction. The band should have told her to get a life. But instead, Mick Fleetwood kow-towed to her, and the others - cowards - stayed out of it.
