So My landslide live Reaction and The Chain Reaction just got blocked! So No more Fleetwood Mac Reactions From Me Sorry🙅🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ The Chain was so Damn good😫
Fail , I love the chain! The bass line is awesome. Fleetwood mac started out as a heavy rock British blues band without women. Even if you don't react to it, listen to green manalichi
@@clydester2677 🤔 to heck with my wife. Introduced to Stevie in 75-76, my wife in 78.... so? I actually did meet/run into Mic Fleetwood a few times in the early 80s. Both my wife and I on separate occasions talked briefly with Mic in Mayfair market on point dume in Malibu. Usually mid afternoon and I don't think he'd slept much... was friendly enough. Literally bumped into him rounding a corner. Looked him straight in the chest. Looked up and sheepishly said, hi Mic .. enjoy your music. He nodded, said thanks. Yes, He's tall and has huge eyes..😁
"Like a heartbeat drives you mad in the stillness of remembering, what you had & what you lost" is possibly one of the most beautifully haunting lyrics ever.
@@bitchnguy stevie and buck got tainted by the clintons go type peter green tribute i dont see some of the greats from zz top to pink floyd do that for the witch so ,,,,,Oh well black magic women the green manalishi albatross
@@bitchnguy i guess you told me the clintons used their song in their campaign in which tarnished fleetwood mac and as far as nazi go do you know what nazi stands for google it ima independent conservative im here for the music just trying to throw some facts out there like the originals members of the band sp like the song say Oh Well
@@bitchnguy libtards why are you trolling in a music reaction page did half your family get deported or something would you like lime with your corna oh trump will be president for 8 more years lol
@Phony Mex "Oh man you must be stupid" for you left out Miller, Prince, Knopfier, Hendrix, Beck, Moore, Campbell etc. etc. etc. and that's because there's so many lists with so many opinions like yours. Go troll the Mylie Cyrus sites where I'm sure you'll fell right at home.
Yep and she later had one with the drummer. And the keyboardist had a thing with the guitarist. They were a lesson in not to screw your band mates. Literally. I did music at college and they brought that subject up. Do not use your band as a dating pool, it screws everything up like it did for Fleetwood Mac eventually.
@@_MYSTIC_ Christine was married to the bassist John. And yes Stevie and Mick had an affair. Christine at one point had a fling with a guy who was not part of the group at all.
Of Course this is The Transatlantic Fleetwood Mac Mark 2. The original Mick Fleetwood/McVie Group had 3 great guitarists, including one of the World's best Blues Guitarists which is why the original Late 1960's Band were called " Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" but he had too much LSD, The Irish Guy:Danny Kirwan became an alcoholic and Jeremy Spencer left to join a Californian Commune so they hired a brand new band with a different sound. Their old sound had hits like the beautiful " Albatross" and " Black Magic Woman"...
And face of an angel. Oh my, saw here and the Mac at the small Santa Monica civic auditorium in mid 70s. OMG drop dead beautiful and sexy in person. Great voice too....😁 a few yrs late I'd run into Mic at the Mayfair market on point dume in Malibu. Big, tall guy and his eyes are the same...wide. He was nice enough and just by himself picking up a few items, mid afternoon, mid week
Growing up in the 70's and 80's was amazing, especially in the music world. One awesome song after another was popping up on the radio. Such a happy time for me!
EVEN BETTER growing up in the 60s and 70s in Kodiak Alaska That was me The BEAUTY of Alaska The fishing was OUT STANDING The people very friendly I had a great child hood I was 17 in 1977 And moved back to Oregon with my family ,, But Miss Kodiak and the 1970s SO MUCH`
How badass is Stevie Nicks? She can write songs about her decaying relationship and get that boyfriend to play and sing on it! Imagine Taylor Swift getting her exes to play and sing on her songs about them....
Christine McVie wrote a love song to her side-man ("You Make Loving Fun" off this same album) and got her soon-to-be ex husband to play bass on it. God, these kids were screwed up when they made this album.
You are correct ..Taylor Swift doesn't have the vocal range...uniqueness or talent that Stevie has...none of these pop singers do...not saying that none of them can sing...but with a lot of them its autotune....if they had to do a concert...a live performance without using some autotune...they'd be toast...welll they are toast...in my book...
JOEL LIEBLER - Both Stevie and Christine are amazing artists. Each wrote and sang hit songs for Fleetwood Mac (as did the irreplaceable Lindsey Buckingham) during the 1970s and 1980s. Christine gets overshadowed by Stevie’s superstardom, but she was absolutely instrumental to the band’s success - writing more hit singles for the Mac than Stevie, Lindsey, Peter or Bob.
I can't get over the visceral reaction I get from hearing this song after many years. Throws me back to a time and place long ago. Stevie's voice! I can actually feel the teenage angst filling my soul!
Everyone sleeps on Christie, even though she's not lead vocals on this track, the layering and harmonies she's adding to the track and no one ever seems to mention it lol.
In the late 70s and early 80s she was every young man's fantasy. Between Stevie and that poster of farah Fawcett our hormones didn't stand a chance 😍✌❤
@@ckobo84 Too funny!!! All the guys I dated back in late 70's High School had the Farrah Poster behind the door or ceiling in their bedroom's.. All us girls got the Farrah hairstyle Loved that era,the best times of my teen year's & the best Music!! IMO
Cute. :^) It's a Gibson Les Paul, btw - possibly the most commonly played guitar during the '70s. But white has never been a typical colour for this model. Could be custom made, or repainted. Or maybe they _did_ make 'em in white, back then.
I have a request for Fleetwood Mac, but prior to the Stevie Nicks lineup! The band was started in 1967, and the original singer/lead guitarist was Peter Green -- one of the greatest guitarists of all time. "Need Your Love So Bad" is what made them famous, and their song "Black Magic Woman" is one of the songs that made Santana famous. However, I'd recommend "Green Manalishi" live in Sweden -- this song is mindblowing, and it was revolutionary at the time. It illustrates the furthest extent of Peter Green's creative genius before he started suffering from psychosis (possibly caused by schizophrenia). Absolutely incredible song.
Jamal...You could try to do some of Stevie Nicks solo hits like "Edge of Seventeen", "Stand Back", and her duet with Tom Petty "Stop Draggin My Heart Around". All Great!! Thank you.
At the part where you try to explain Stevies voice, there only one way. Simply put, its magic. Even people who don't enjoy this type of music loves Stevie.
They did a concert many years later called “The Dance.” After years apart, a bit of a reunion..and the music, the feelings/chemistry onstage were incredible- Between Stevie and Lindsay especially (on guitar). There was a lot going on with this band over this years- behind the scenes- love affairs, drama, etc.. Please check out songs from “the dance.” After soooo many year later, they sounded/ looked as good as ever! ❤️🤘🏼✌️
Highly recommend Silver Springs (1997 version from the Dance tour) @ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eDwi-8n054s.html The tension and history between Stevie & Lindsey is palpable. The song was written by Stevie back in the 70s after her & Lindsey were traveling through Silver Springs, MD. It was intended for the Rumours album but was cut due to vinyl space limitations and ended up being the B side of Go Your Own Way. Please watch, listen and react. We would all love it and you surely will too.
To me THE moment of true love, affection and appreciation was the look on Lindsey's face when Stevie sings acapella on 'Landslide' near the end of the song. Not to mention how they end it... @jamal PLEASE PLEASE do 'Landslide' ... It's a thing of beauty. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WM7-PYtXtJM.html
@@StarryStarryNocturne ~ Lindsay Buckingham was a control freak. I believe he was angry because she no longer wanted to be under his thumb. So he couldn't control her any longer...
The Chain was about the whole group trying to hold it together. Christine and John McVie's marriage ended during Fleetwood Mac and Lindsey and Stevie had to also get up and play together even after their break up.
I can remember sitting in my gramma's living room and listening to Rumors as a very little girl, and my family has been listening to that album ever since. It's one of my babies favorite albums, and now we listen to it with my grandbaby. Four generations and counting!
OMFG, Stevie simply exemplifies sweet sexiness out of every pore and her voice is nothing less then an angel singing just for you. Add the band and all the history of love and loss between them all was penned down in all their lyrics so well and is so relatable because we have all been there too. I have had the pleasure of seeing Fleetwood Mac in their entirety twice, Stevie three times solo and Lindsey solo once, amazing memories!! Unquestionably one of the best bands of all time! Thanks Jamel for another classic Jamal reaction! Stay Classy my friend!
Stevie nicks wrote that song for the guitarist who is still madly in love with her, and she's done with him. There are so many underlaying themes to this song, album, band. It must be so hard for Lindsay buckinghm
Classic! Yep, that was a really good live version of the song. A few other classic Fleetwood Mac songs to check out are "Rhiannon," "Go Your Own Way," "The Chain," "Landslide," and "Tusk," along with so many others.
Fleetwood Mac is one of my MOST FAVORITE BANDS and Stevie Nicks is one of my FAVORITE SINGERS! Stevie Nicks started by singing in bars with her grandfather when she was 4 years old and later, she sang with her then, boyfriend Lindsay Buckingham (the lead guitar player in white suit and white guitar). Fleetwood Mac was a blues band in the UK. Their music is so unique and I can’t wait for you to react to more. Some of their older songs are; Can’t Go Back, You Make Lovin’ Fun, Silver Spring, Landslide (1970’s version). Thank you for your reaction, Jamel.
This song brings back so many memories of that year , an almost magical summer, girls coming into and going out of my life , love , heartbreaks , so much cruising in my built Roadrunner on wonderful summer nights , windows down , I can sense the great early summer floral smell in the air like it was yesterday. The girls would keep putting this song on over and over and going into a romantic dreamy state . All those great nights parked at the lake and always hearing maggot brain at midnight. Hurricane by Neil Young was another they always wanted.
Love Stevie & Fleetwood Mac. SO many great songs they did.....Gypsy, Rhiannon, Big Love, The Edge of Seventeen, Tusk, Go your own Way. Stevie’s voice is sexy, raspy, & unlike any other.
Total Addiction...you'll never get enough, they will bring back memories every time you hear them, there will be no escaping them (happily).....Enjoy the journey!!!💜🤟🎼🎶🎵 Just listen to everything of theirs!!!!
If you only knew that a few months later, this song would skyrocket into popularity due to an average homie skating to work after his truck broke down. Good times.
Stevie Nicks is an incredible singer. I could listen to her all night long. And sometimes I do as I have almost all of her songs on my computer. Landslide is her best song, imho.
Stevie Nicks has a very unique voice. She sings alto but can hit some high note as well. Very creative the way she sings with the different intonations that bring out the emotions as well as the depth of the song. It's like her voice caresses the song at just the right moment.
Thunder only happens when it’s raining. Players only love you when they are playing. That is an awesome lyric for the 70’s. It’s still applicable today.
Thank you for suggesting a Peter Green era tune - and a good choice, at that! I've always loved the opening line lol. In the world of rock music history, there aren't many things more saddening than how easily PG was forgotten. A revolutionary musical genius, excellent singer, and one of the best guitarists of all time. The demise of Syd Barrett has much in common with that of PG, but most Floyd fans know Syd. I think PG is every bit as deserving of this recognition, if not more due to his greater musical ability and talent. (Not knocking Syd, just sharing my opinion lol.)
I saw them live back in the 70s in Wichita (no where) Kansas. They're performance was mesmerizing and Stevie's presence on stage was mind blowing. Will never forget it.
Stevie has some really great duets, "Whenever I Call You a Friend " with Kenny Loggins, "Leather and Lace " with Don Henley, and some with Tom Petty,"Stop Dragging my Heart Around" and "Insider" and "Needles and Pins"
Check out the song Stevie Nicks did with Kenny Loggins -- "Whenever I call you friend" I am always amazed at how effortless her vocals are on that song. And also while you are there, Kenny Loggins' "This is it" ... It's got your man Michael McDonald on it!
Three Brits and two Americans came together and created this amazing band and brought forth some of the most memorable music in history. Mick Fleetwood and John McVie came to America looking for a new lead guitar. They went to a record store in the Los Angeles area and over the loud speakers, a young guitarist was being featured. They asked a worker in the store, who that guitarist was and he told them,Lindsay Buckingham. They set out to find him... Found him and asked him to join them. He said only if his accompanying singer, Stevie Kincks, could come with him. They agreed and the rest is history. And they have quite a history full of turmoil and drugs, but still manage to kick ass musically... and they're all alive as well. Great reaction!
Stevie Nicks is a living legend. One of my very first dates with my wife was back around 1990 when she invited me to go see Stevie Nicks in concert at Canada's Wonderland. Fast forward about 27 years and we went on a date for our 20th wedding anniversary to see Stevie in concert again, with Chrissy Hynde of the Pretenders as the opening act.
