Sate your frustration Quench your sick desire Sweeten your pain with fairy dust As desperation melts down this toxic powder On that spoon you set your life on fire Sense of shame to forget Far astray you’ll wander Isolated in regret Narcotize your existence It’s self-destruction It’s suicide These wicked voices bewitch you But you’re too young to die Speak to your torment honey And listen to your soul As we’re the temple of strength And we must soldier on Push! Push! Push! Push! I want to see you push The hunter has become the prey The master’s turned into a slave Push! Push! Push! Push! We all want to see you push Your mother’s cry, your father’s prayers They just mean nothing Push! And pump this venom through the veins Into your bleeding heart Push! And put an end to all this pain with this final act Push! Orgasmic rapture, down in a hole The needle bleeds the pleasure grows Internal fracture, denial of your soul Your blood freezes your body Push! Push! Push! Push! So let me see you push The hunter has become the prey The master’s turned into a slave Push! Push! Push! Push! We all want to see you push Your mother’s cry, your father’s prayers Make way for silence How can you do this to yourself, in your very prime? Life’s worth living no matter what is the sacrifice Fight!
It's bittersweet. I listen to it everyday to remind myself of the drowning feeling when an addict. That each pill or injection just digs the hole deeper and unlike a tree it's easier to get down in the hole than up. Some people give up and six feet under is awaits for those. It's a hellish journey, it's the god damn journey to Mordor. And the rest of the journey is coming back from Mordor. But I realized from all the agony I caused myself that I would never want to be in such a dark, sinister, absolutely fucked reality. I am clean from suboxone for 1.5 months and Tramadol for over 2. But still.. Runny eyes, body flashes with cold sweats, chicken skin.. I've had withdrawal so bad I've almost had seizures, fainting, dissociation, brain fog, all the shit you hate. It's just time that makes me go fucking mental. These past months? Felt like an enternity. PS. Seizures wasn't caused by opioids, it was caused by something far worse. A drug cocktail everyday. I don't want to drag this out though.
Since I can't understand a word he's singing I have to go off of what the visuals tell me: Sugar is a worse drug than heroin. Using electrical instruments in water is alright. Fleshgod Apocalypse is a band from Atlantis.
Agreed been replaying it practically non stop, they just keep getting better and better with every album, very underrated band. I can't wait for the new album, FA is my 3rd favorite band.
@@danteblack3254 Its hard for me to choose between Behemoth and Belphegor :D Melechesh is also great. If I want epic I go to Behemoth, if I want a more exotic feeling I go to Melechesh and if I want it brutal and crazy I listen to Belphegor :D
I think that was the opposite of sweet but that's fine. *I haven't listened something THIS METAL in a long time. I want to hug Francesco Paoli and thank him because of having invested all the time, effort and creativity in Fleshgod Apocalypse.*
@Pat Fenis Shrooms are the only drug I'd ever want to do, I'm curious as to what it looks like when you hallucinate, I guess LCD and Acid also make you trip balls, but my friend who has tried all 3 said to stay away from those. Also nice username by the way haha.
@@thegrinchinamaskholdingagu968 I've met him with Hour of Penance in 2008, before FA got some sort of recognition and I have to admit, he's one the most sincere and nicest guys there is. Was really stoked that people came out to check out his band and took the time to chat with everyone.
I feel everything about this song and video in the deepest parts of my soul. Having just over 15 months clean from a 15 year long battle with Heroin and Opiates its a brutal truth and reminder of the cyclical torturous hell I was fortunate enough to make it out from to never forget where I came from to today, and to remember that it doesn't end with me that many are still caught deep in the grips and I hope they find their way...
I've seen this dozens of times and it still gets me. Like how the drug has manifested itself into an entity that is controlling her, telling her to push the drug into her body. And then how there is the outside voice telling her it's not worth it and to fight the urge. It's so powerful. Visually, lyrically...just amazing.
Yeah what a fantastic song and video. "PUSH, PUSH, PUSH, PUSH" is used as both urging to push the needle AND pushing to fight against the addiction. Like, push the needle, your mothers cries and your fathers prayers mean nothing, so why not push the needle - but on the other hand, please push forward, your mother IS crying and your father IS praying and what you are doing makes their tragedy and love for you be nothing, so please push against the addiction and FIGHT for your mom's and dad's and your own sake. I've watched this countless times now and yeah it still hits me hard over and over again. Parts of this song and video make me tear up like a baby. The video is brutally honest about how fucked up drug addiction is but also manages to be extremely empathetic towards people with drug problem, AND it manages to go artistically very deep into the core of what drugs and addiction really are. But not only as an anti drug song this is really effective, but I think this can be used to battle all kinds of other addictions too.
@@Autonomylost I know, and I'm glad he's back 🤘 I hope they'll find a permanent solution for the drummer, because the new guy is really struggling (I wonder why, haha)
@@MihailGeorgescu on the studio album version Paoli recorded drums, David does the shows and videos, also isn't a "new" guy he was the drummer from the first album before Paoli took over
@@jbrewking Check the link, it seems that David did drumming on the album. I'm curious about other tracks, interesting. www.metal-archives.com/albums/Fleshgod_Apocalypse/Veleno/765828
Great video! Love how visually striking this band is (aesthetics, visual direction, etc). Probably the only other band that that I can think of right now that is at the same level of theatricality is Carach Angren.
I know they toured with Carach Angren for King, this was good but I hope they continue more of their symphonic stuff, I’m sure they just wanted to surprise us and show they’re not a one trick pony
You know, I read this comment when they were throwing up sludge and blood near the start of the video. A few seconds later, the lady starts undressing and my immediate thought was “oh god, is she gonna vomit from her sniz?!”
According to the cast, he's not actually drumming in this video, but yes, awesome drummer. CAST Selena Tavanti - Girl Francesco Paoli - Lead vocals, Guitar Paolo Rossi - Bass, Clean vocals Francesco Ferrini - Piano Veronica Bordacchini - Soprano Fabio Bartoletti - Lead and rhythm guitar David Folchitto - Drums
Lyrics: Sugar, ah honey honey You are my candy girl And you got me wanting you Honey, ah sugar sugar You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you I just can't believe the loveliness of loving you (I just can't believe it's true) I just can't believe the one to love this feeling to (I just can't believe it's true) Ah sugar, ah honey honey You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you Ah honey, ah sugar sugar You are my candy girl And you've got me wanting you When I kissed you, girl, I knew how sweet a kiss could be (I know how sweet a kiss can be) Like the summer sunshine pour your sweetness over me (Pour your sweetness over me) Oh sugar, pour a little sugar on it honey Pour a little sugar on it baby I'm gonna make your life so sweet, yeah yeah yeah Pour…
It's too good. The way the video matches the audio is something rarely seen in this day and age. Very reminiscent of 90's music videos. Great friggin job on behalf of the band and director.
I saw the single on Spotify and immediately came here to see if there as an official video Lucky me! Masterpiece! PS: I hope my neighbors like FA as well. If not... Well, not my problem
A truly spectacular video. I've witnessed two live shows so far and while the crowd always goes berserk, I still somehow feel like this band is massively underappreciated and should be much bigger. People here in Germany seem to love Fleshgod, but still... They should be at least as famous as Behemoth or Ghost.
Ghost are an arena band now so no way and Fleshgod are way more complex than Behemoth. They will continue to get more popular though, this video has 280,000 views in 1 week.
Dunno how many times I've listened to this, and seen the music video. It still gives me the chills and keeps pulling me back. Quite ironic, but that's just how it is. You guys are truly amazing.
Amazing Mafia/Agony spirit is back. I've always loved this great band ! Huge fan for years ! Fleshgod Apocalypse forever, one music to rule'em all !! Greetings from France !
@@IntricateOfficial Avatar is a Swedish metal band, I suggest you check them out, BUT, don't just listen to one song and think "meh..." Every song is different and they also play different genres. And most songs aren't even placable in a genre. My favourite songs by them are "When the snow lies red" "reload" "legend of the king" "ready for the ride" "house of eternal hunt" and "tsar bomba".
Couldn't have asked to a better way to start my Friday! New album details on iTunes as well! Pumped for this, what a badass video you guys have here and the riffs to match \m/
I was disappointed until the orchestra came in for the first time. From that moment on it just kept on becoming better and better!! The strength of the guitars os crazy, reminds me a bit of your first releases. The hype is still here!
@@ShawnJonesHellion Keyboard or not (which if you followed them at all yeah it's been keyboard/patches since the man genius joined the gang), they do it better than others. Plus if you follow them on fb at least you would have seen where they have been working with some actual instruments as of late, either for some live stuff or recording so yeah. We'll see what's up soon.
Super creative video and a very cool song! I am very thrilled to see and hear what David will bring to this album as a drummer since I really liked his work with Stormlord!
Since the first time i saw this video, i thought that this was fantastic! I have however been hoping and waiting for a "making of" video. This is such a cool video, id love to see how it was made! (im sure that im not alone in this)
Epic! This band is still killing it. Album should be one of the top Metal releases for 2019. They keep screaming that Heavy Metal is dead. I beg to differ... \,,/
WOW My goodness, I love the dynamics of the song, the ups and downs, the marching, bashing bridge and the clean part is so fucking on point as always! Well, the video - such an epic production, the vistas - my goodness! That must be about your coolest looking video ever!
Ohh, I love those kinds of bands, it´s so much more than just awesome music. All this drama, amazing clothes and effects. It´s a delight for all the senses.
I know a lot of bands are working on their albums now and there's going to be a ton of releases later this year, but I think this is already a strong contender for music video of the year. Just thinking about what all went into those underwater scenes is already super impressive, but holy shit does Paoli put on an outstanding performance on top of that. He said this song had a personal story to it, so you can tell he's really passionate about his visual performance as well. Bottom line: Great fucking job, guys. I love the message and not shying away from the grim reality of addiction.
Battle beast, dream theatre, Slipknot album in the summer, Carnifex and I swear there are more! Edit: forgot about Allegaeon and Soilwork. Struggling keeping up with all the new stuff xd
Point taken and agreed with. The last mix, while clean, had a really thin guitar sound. Obviously it was by design, as Jens Borgen knows what he's doing and the last Septicflesh album sounded amazing. But this is the first time I've heard everything balanced out where nothing seems to be left behind for Fleshgod.
I'm so fucking proud of this band - seeing how they've evolved through the years and somehow only gotten better has been a blast. Thank you for the sweetness and the harsh tones that you have brought to the metal scene -it's been a wild ride right from the start and I'm pumped for more.
They really switched styles a lot. What are your thoughts on their older stuff? Btw have you heard of Dallian? it's a very recent prog/death/symphonic band with steampunk aesthetics but they are doing amazing stuff.
I can honestly say that this is one of the best music videos I've ever seen, love fleshgod and this video just makes me want to make every mate I have convert to fleshgod
