We've been going to Normanville for many years. Great place. I served on H.M.A.S. Hobart in the early 70's.

Great stuff, you will have some great memories of the Hobart then.

My old in laws used to live at Normanville caravan park they loved it

The in-laws would have enjoyed a great climate during their time there. Unfortunately I think for me, it gets too crowded now during the warmer months now to enjoy it as much as it once was.

Mick .....update us about your vehicle upgrade
@justcruisinwithmicksally837
@justcruisinwithmicksally837 8 месяцев назад
We had a 4,200kg GVM and a 7,700kg GCM upgrade done by Lovells here in Adelaide. If you search Lovells on the internet you will get any info that you require from their site. We went with Lovells knowing that they were up there with the leaders in vehicle upgrades.

Lived in Normanville for a couple of years. Then Warooka on the yorkes now goolwa beach. Qld in between. SA has some of the best beaches in Australia. Sadly the eastern states discovered SA during covid😂

Sounds like you have lived in some very spectacular locations. SA has so much to offer others within one state that we find it remarkable.

Such beautiful sunsets!! Envious of you there... Very nice beaches but somehow not being able to camp with a sea view would turn me off from camping there for a holiday.
@justcruisinwithmicksally837
@justcruisinwithmicksally837 8 месяцев назад
It is a pity that the camping location not within view of the water. In saying that, it is very close to any of the pretty beaches down that way.

It's interesting how the western side of the fleurieu is so calm but head to goolwa way has some big surf sometimes

It must be something to do with the direction that the ocean currents flow within the areas around the Peninsula. Great that there is such a difference within a very short distance🙂

Gday mate im lucky i live in this part of the world and we being rate payers do not get charged to enter the beaches as long as you have a pass ,the money goes to local communities for various sporting and recreational clubs . At times it can be really packed on those beaches and one time i remember the areas were left in a disgracfull condition after a long weekend and pretty sure now council rangers do patrols .they have just lowered the speed limit on the beaches because of reckless drivers as you may have seen on the news . On a good day it is fantastic down there but in winter boy it gets cold at times good fishing from those beaches back in the day big schools of muloway used to come in but alas no more anyway great video take care .

We spotted at least one Police vehicle on the beach every time were were in the area, great to see. It is a shame to see anyone not looking after an area that everyone enjoys, it isn't hard to do the right thing when you are there. Beautiful in the summer but we can understand it being cold in the winter. Glad you liked the video👍

Having recently got new caravan and still getting used to towing it hubby would like to know if you on longer trips eg 3 to 4 hours travel with empty water tanks or full?
@justcruisinwithmicksally837
@justcruisinwithmicksally837 8 месяцев назад
We fill our tanks to suit the location to which we are heading towards. If we are free camping which is our main type of caravan travel, then we will leave home with full water tanks. If we are going to be at a Caravan Park then we will travel with whatever water we have in our tanks from our last trip away. We never drain our tanks after a trip.The feel of the caravan when towing doesn't change with full or empty water tanks. Hope this helps to answer your question.

We hear every now and again that others who do not live in the area are envious of some of South Australia's beaches, seeing is believing🙂
