If your selling a car for someone and your the middle man it's completely your responsibility to double check all the facts about the vehicle before it's sold . That's just bad business .

That’s dirty af. I’m a manager for a dealership. Since the problems happened he should lower the vehicle price or full refund you expenses. He owes you an apology straight up. When I was buying my 1st car I asked my brothers because they had already gone through this in life and 1st things they said when buying a car was, always ask if it's a clean title, mileage, has the engine or transmission been changed, rust on the frame, and other few small ones..... Title is Hella important. Especially if you want your insurance payments cheaper

I'm just going by what you show in this video. If I was the guy, and if I truly didn't know it was not a clean title etc, I would of been embarrassed and apologetic and see what I could do to make it right if at all possible. He reminds me of a few car dealerships I've been to and when you start seeing problems with the ride, it's no big deal. Not little things either, like smoke coming out the exhaust pipe and worse

*My parents got scammed out of over $20k on a newer Impala.* They bought it from a guy and VIN was clean. Problem was it was a very legit looking fake title and the car was stolen from Hertz rental. Hertz didn’t report it stolen for a month so the vin check still showed clean. Then they traced car to my parents house and reported it. Just a mess. Cops came to pick up vehicle from parents and my parents who work so hard is out $20k. Btw…if this guy said it was clean title and it wasn’t he screwed up. Never assume anything when it comes to titles. He should have been thorough. Especially since he knew you had to travel long ways to see the vehicle. Total disrespect.

It’s also obvious that the guy was trying to make his $3500 back from his travelling expenses. Like the owner wanted $5k for the car and the other $2500 was pure profit for that guy and that money was going towards his $3500 travel expenses.

In the future tho ask for the car vin in advance before you book your flight, run it through the NCIB website and it a good free way to check if something messed up with the title. With my experience first thing to do is get the vin of the vehicle I have also be in situation similar to this but anyway I do recommend to get the vin first do the research then proceed if necessary. Good luck respect what you peace.
