We take a look at the 24v brushless rear handle circular saw form FLEX. Brand new to market, and released with stacked lithium batteries it should pack a punch.
Can it take the top seat and dethrone the DeWALT flexvolt rear handle saw? Let's find out.

If you love tool reviews/tests and need to know anything about the tool in question, stop through here. This channel is so underrated and my favorite by far. Love to see the different batteries tested as to the performance aspect. Great guy, awesome channel, awesome testing and reviews. I can’t stand that lever on the bevel either man. It catches on the shoe every time. Refined power is a great explanation for this saw. I feel the same way. It’s way smoother than the Flexvolt but matched in power.

There is about 4 tool channels I watch and it seems like they are smaller but even if there is a bias towards a tool preference these guys keep it honest unlike Clinnt from the Tool Review Zone

That Flex seems like a monster, but the fact that you have basically all of the circs and reach for the HPT says a lot. Some really good deals for the HPT in a few places.

The saw, the power, SL battery and rapid charger can really make someone think. The corded sidewinder I have needs to retire and Flex is going places for sure. Another great review, thank you!

It definitely feels nicer than its sidewinder counterpart. I remember I used to praise the flex side winder for its raw power, then rear handle came out and that thing just feels more refined. It's not as torquie or jerky as the sidewinder, but it definitely cuts like butter.

@@zorbaseatery4745 i own multiple saws from different brands. Still looking to buy another side winder saw (looking at the xgt). Blade left saws have their places in my tool box when I need them. I choose one over the other depending on the situation.

@@ProxyFinal Got it. The XGT rear handle I don't think is a true worm drive sidewinder (only the SKIL 40V is) more of a heloid gearing (I forget the term than Rob with Toolbox Buzz used). But the torque transfer is supposedly great on the XGT rear handle due to the gearing.

@@zorbaseatery4745 all are sidewinder saws if it isn’t worm gear drive or skilsaw. When I say sidewinder, I usually refer to blade right saw, which it’s wrong lol because you also have blade left sidewinder. We just need to distinguish it as either top or rear handle I suppose.

I see in my former Lowes store , now it is a Rona CANADAIAN store it is offered Flex Rear handle @ $ 279. with charger and v10 aHr battery, killer of a deal ,$100 Canadian dollar is less than USD, so around $240US, dust port is a good benefit as I'm asthmatic, hook up a shop vac to it.

No ,drive motor is in line with blade ,WORM drives (skilsaw ) and hypoid drive like Makita the motors are 90°to blade. Edit, I'm Rt handed prefer to use left blade saws as I like to see line of cut, I hold timber with left hand and waste cut falls on the right, it is what you are comfortable and you think safer for you, been cutting and renovating for 30 + years, never have accidents.

The weight of that saw is nothing for me! I can handle it like a 12V DeWalt saw. I mean my good old Skilsaw corded worm drive saw (non magnesium) weighs at 14.8lbs and my Makita 5477NB Hypoid corded Saw weighs at 14.5Lbs so I'm really used to the heavy duty circular saw it's nothing to me as long as the saw have an overwhelming Power and Torque that cuts like a Laser Beam or cuts like a Plasma Cutter. Because in my line of Work as Framer/Carpenter and seasonal Marine Welder and Freelance Plumber Powerful tools is my top list. Not just Power and Torque but also Efficiency and Reliability.

No one should use gloves when using a circular saw or table saw. Gloves will pull your hand into a saw instead of a quick nick or cut . People have completely mangled the whole hand .

I notice that all the companies right now are using completely meaningless dramatic terms, like "maximum cutting capacity" or "50% longer battery life." I have to wonder if they advertise like this in England or Canada. It's very insulting to customers to use flashy, meaningless slogans that literally have no meaning. I hope that this era ends, and they start treating customers with more integrity; they need to stop with the slogans and start printing the actual specifications and engineering data on their product packages.

Couple things. I don't see any skill saw on your list. Also I always find myself skipping A LOT. Just way to long for me. It's longer than a television show and that's with commercials. Maybe cut the video in half? One video reviewing the toll and another of actual testing?
