Our trip up to FlexArm to pick up my new FlexArm model GH-60 tapping machine and while there Stephen Barga invited us into the facility and shop with the camera for a tour! FlexArm just moved into a brand new building and it looks great! They have their own in house machine shop where they machine all of their own components for their machines. They also have a line of large scale CNC machines called FlexCNC that is great for large size work pieces and the fabrication industry. For more info on Flexarm visit their website www.flexarminc... or RU-vid channel / @flexmachinetools

Other companies take note. THIS is how you do business. Look after your employees and they’ll look after your business. So many businesses don’t care about the workforce. I work for a great engineering company but I’d give anything to work there. Congratulations Adam on acquiring a flex arm for your shop.

I used to tell my old ahole boss that I would rather work in a nice place that had great morale and did not constantly lie to you or stab you in the back. Rather have great morale and caring bosses then a dollar raise. I worked at a scum bag large gannett newspaper for 16 years while they were still making millions of dollars. They refused to let us know when they made changes that affected us like stoppage of $3 meal money after working 10 hours, no over time pay until you worked 40 hours even if you scheduled a vacation day 2 months early. Stopped paying over time for emergency call ins. Would have you work 8 hours then send you home. Would expect you to cover for a day worker that called out sick 2 hours after getting home. Told them If I come in like that must be paid overtime. Several times they borrowed $40 brand but obsolete hard to get new circuit breakers that I had but never paid me or gave me a replacement so one Friday night they got into a jam and needed 2 of them. Told them let me check my garage. Yep only way you can have them if somebidy delivers $160 in cash to my house. Boy did that piss them off. Ended up paying thru the nose for them.

I am a vet of the Viet Nam era and this video of flex Arm with the owner and Adam makes me feel proud of the fact that a vet started Flex Arm company. The Flag is hung proudly in the building. Wow, what a place to work in! That floor! How could anyone not enjoy working there? The other great thing portrayed in this video was the pride for American production and manufacture, I wish that people here in England would get back the pride we once had for 'Made in Britain' products. We have a lot to learn from you lads over the pond, maybe when we get out of the EU and form trade deals with the US we will be able to do this. I can't wait to see your new machine working in your shop Adam.

This is what makes America great! Innovation, hard work, quality and product support. Our manufacturing abilities allowed us to win a World War, create jobs and a flourishing middle class and makes us number one in the world in any way you want to measure. We were in danger of losing it all. Companies like this is exactly what we all need......May our politicians never lose site of this. Thanks so much for the tour, you're a great guy.

Really great to see so much MADE IN THE USA Product in there. So many casting houses closed their doors when the auto companies needed to save money to compete. Many will say they sold out, but when you're saving $2 a casting (or in some cases $50~$250) and your parts are in the hundreds of thousands (even millions) you just can't compete without doing it. Really glad to see all that Made in the USA equipment/parts.

Over here in the UK we are not always complimentary about the USA, especially your politics, but what has to be admired is the support and intertrading that goes on within your local businesses. For the most part now in the UK we have not only lost the businesses that could produce such components as you have shown in this video but we have lost the expertise as well. We are about to dump the European Union which if it happens will be the single biggest thing that we can do to reverse the decline of "Great Britain". Supporting and being self sufficient within a community with which you have a common bond is essential to safeguarding future prosperity and security. Congratulations to you Adam and all the guys at FlexArm.

I wonder how much machining the rails on those FLEX CNC machines after install actually helps with accuracy? I mean after machining itself an indicator on the bridge would show it was true within the pitch and yaw of the cutter but it would only be as flat as the alignment of the linear rails the bridge runs on. For lots of big jobs it wouldn't really matter but if you were trying to mill surface plates on it I wonder how good it would go.
