How do you breathe when folded like that? I can almost do it but my stomach gets so compressed I can't breathe

I dropped my keys last night on the path. I'd to kick them over to a lamppost so I'd something to balance on and let me pull myself up before I bent down to pick them up. Mind you I'm 70 but trying to work on getting a bit more supple and I'm going to rejoin the leisure centre and this time use it REGULARLY. New year's resolution, honest.
