Very nice session. Sir I have one question that.. in injury in zone 4 ,u have told to keep slab for longer time to prevent bowing of tendon...but which side slab should given to prevent bowing? Palmer side or dorsal side??
Ask patient to wear a wrist stabilisation splint on the volar side, with wrist in 30 degrees extension for 3 months, and by this time, the strength of the flexors would have increased and a fibrous replacement for the flexor retinaculum would have been formed to reduce the bowstringing!

It always gives a better immobilisation for muscle level repair. But since you have asked this question, I shall study further and see if there is a more scientific reason. Can I get back to you afterwards?
