G'day Dan, a few of these types of units around that work quite well in the backyard, but that's the first pocket sized job I've seen and with a power bank too makes it very compelling for on the trail. Thanks for the look and test mate, yep sure beats coils, sticks and spray. Cheers Duke.

Living here on the island of Phuket in SW Thailand, I am still recovering from head-on collision with Dengue Fever 2 weeks ago. Health Travel Tip: Don’t get Dengue….!!! I’ll be ordering one today. Suggestion to Flextail…. Why do you make them in Green…? Int’l Orange or Bright Yellow would be much better, so that they stand out and don’t get lost.

I have the thermocell version. It works off little gas bottles but the principle is the same. Steel plate heating the little blue citronella pads. They do actually work. Use mine a lot as I’m a magnet for mozzys and midge’s

Hi Dan, Great revue,thorough,honest and the Max Repel was endorsed by The Boss And 2 Dogs ! I’ve travelled a fair bit & done some scary stuff but I usually sleep really well.......unless there is a bl**dy mozzie droning away in my room/tent. I snap the light on,fumble for my glasses,wake everyone else up as I start attacking the ceiling with a rolled up magazine. I get huge peace of mind from my Max Repel and have avoided the 4 day itching of a mozzie bite ever since. Great piece of kit. Does anyone know if repels Horse Flies ? Regards John

If this works you have just fixed my outdoors in summer, I literally get destroyed if I don't have every repellent plus citronella oil lamps burning....

I wonder how it would work on a NJ Greenhead Fly They can draw some blood 🩸 out of a human being They serve a vital role in the ecosystem however they still make your day quite miserable Sure would be nice if this gear worked to keep them away as well as the Mosquitoes
