My book is now available on Kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com/projects/1859080975/incredible-paper-airplanes-by-foldable-flight It contains step-by-step instructions, links to video tutorials, and illustrated folding papers for 15 incredible paper airplanes! It's also being called a "masterpiece" and "the best paper airplane book out there." Click the link above to learn more!
Are your books ready to ship? I went to the site and it still says pre-order and it will be available in November. Please clarify, I want to purchase a book and template combo for my son.
Thanks kyle because of you now every person in my class wants me to make your planes for them. Now you are even turning me from the physics lover guy to be the paper air plane guy.sound familiar right
This is basically plasma z 2.0 but with one key difference that makes a big difference, which I believe make it better. 1:Unlike plasma 2 where most of the plane is basically reinforce,d this place has all of the reinforced layers at the front, meaning it has a better center of lift This is the reason I believe this is better than plasma z. Kyle you prob know what I’m talking about but if you not know, just compare the two planes. They probably have a similar placed center of gravity, but Plasma X seems to have a better placed center of lift, it’s more in the back, as compared to plasma Z.
They both are awesome but first time I made plasma z when I made this new plane I am confused which is best because plasma z also flies really far but now I fly the plasma x then I am confused which is best.
akanksha vashishtha Thabks for your interest and support! It seems that paper airplanes are popular in India. Would you say that origami is a popular art form there?
More masterful work. :) Seems like Plasma X receives thrust well. I think it has to compensate for all the trim that needs to be added to keep the plane at positive pitch. As a matter of happenstance, I was working on something kind of similar last week; CG way forward, lots of mass/layers in the front. Those were the observations I made from my plane. One thing I didn't have was the doubled-over wing you got from the swivel fold. That might be the most important fold on the plane... Anyways, great video and thanks for your hard work!
Thanks, Phillip! I do think the doubled wing helps increase the maximum velocity at which the plane can be released (and thereby increases its range as well). You speak very intelligently about paper airplanes. Are any of your own designs online?
Plasma X is one of the best planes I have ever folded! It is easy to fold and flies like a boss! THANK YOU FOLDABLE FLIGHT!!!!! Plasma Y and Z aren’t the best, though. They don’t fly nearly as good as Plasma X. Why?
I'm glad you like it! My experience is that Plasma Z flies almost as far as Plasma X and Plasma Y is more of a gentle glider meant for shorter distances.
Everyday I watch your videos and I love them and I love your planes and your Channel also I also love every single plane you make in I wish I had your paper airplane book and it was free
Mr. Kyle- I'm an American 10yr old and I had an idea for you. You know how Joe Ayoob is a quarterback, you could get Tom Brady to throw your plane and apply for Guinness World Record. Also could you do a video testing your planes with different paper like Hammerhill Copy Plus (Pretty much standard,) Astrobrights, that one John Collins uses, and maybe another paper you have in your house.
One thing I adjusted that you may want to experiment with is trimming about an inch to inch and a half off the width of the paper before starting. The slightly narrower wingspan helps it handle speed launching more like a dart but with the glide capabilities still intact... Distance potential is huge!
WOAH it flies Really far it flies far only if you bend the back edges a little i’m not a good thrower but i think i made it fly 100 101 feet i think and it went over my roof
