At 18, i went to Afghanistan as an infantryman. It was 2004, i lost 2 buddies....they died in my arms in some place called "gun mount", or gun mountain. Now i cry daily. Im sick daily. Im only 38. I dont want to die YOUNG but if i do die young because of my service, i want to dedicate my lifes work in Afghanistan to CEE CEE.😪😓 I DID IT FOR YOU MOMMA. GOD SPEED CEE CEE.😥
Still, after 20 years , it hits home. I wasn’t directly affected by the attacks, but it seems like every life choice or decisions in my life have been made because of the attacks. Knowing what happened and watching the whole thing unfold put an indelible mark on me. Life is short, but sweet and beautiful. It’s also a gift from God and I hope that all the people that died or somehow effected on that day are blessed and got a one-ticket to heaven. Lord knows that they made it!! 🥰
I had many conflicting feelings back in the day during this time and from the subsequent actions that happened as a result of that day -- however as time has gone on, one thing remains ---- the people on this plane chose to be proactive that day and in so doing took away the win from the hijackers -- they knew they were going to die. There was no way out, so they chose their own way. "No greater love" - period. I am amazed at their courage to this day.
I visited Pittsburgh, PA with my wife, my great friend, and his wife two years ago. After watching a Pirates game, we drove to the Flight 93 memorial before returning back to North Carolina. It was a memorable decision. At the time, there were only about five other people present. The errie silence around the sacred ground, the photos, and the memorial wall are vivid in my memory. The thought of brave sacrifice against evil. It was an experience we will never forget.
@@kathfehr5426 its exactly where the plane went down in that field, only 9/11 families are allowed to go out into the field where it actually went down but there is a museum and you can still get pretty closeish to the crash site. It is located just North of Shanksville Pennsylvania.
@@maureen3134 give yourself 2 to 3 hrs if you want to see the whole thing. Be sure to get the address from the website because Google will not give the new entrance.
"The greatest gift that a man can give, is his life for a Friend." This Bible verse is a reminder of Flight 93…and all who responded when one of God's Men yelled, "Let's Roll!"😢💔
This is a beautiful memorial. I got to visit just a few days ago (sept 15) and it was a cloudless day. I cried through the whole display area, couldnt bring myself to listen to the recordings, and really lost it when i turned the corner and saw all the portraits. I loved the tower of voices. I just wished it had been closer to the crash site.
How long were you there? I’m hoping to add this stop on a trip next month and am curious how long I might expect to be there. I don’t want to rush myself.
@@danielfoster3642 Thank you, Daniel. ETA: I’ll have to plan a separate trip to go there because I won’t have 2-3 hours to spare and want to do it right.
There’s a local memorial here, which led me to find Deora Bodley’s name. Who I found was only 10 days younger than me. I had the honor of meeting her amazing mom. Each one of the passengers & crew are the true heroes of 9/11. Having had family in the DC area, my uncle was supposed to be at the Pentagon that day (was late to work)…they saved countless others that day.
Most interesting to me is that gradually the men took over from the flight attendants. It was a beautiful and obvious transition. God bless them all. Beamer, Burnett, Bingham and Glick. Heroes.
I remember that morning very wellI live on east coast of America in Virginia. I was 17, 2 months shy of turning 18. I had woken up and went into my moms room pulled up a chair and turned on her tv. I was trying to give myself a minute to wake up. I was switching through the channels and kept seeing the same thing on pretty much every channel. I yelled to my mom and told her what was going on and as I’m watching I see on live tv the second plane hit the south tower. The second I realized what I had just saw I knew it was a terrorist attack. Before the second plane hit I just thought it was a horrible accident but not once the second plane hit. It was extremely jarring. I yelled to my mom again to come here fast and look at this telling her what was happening. That day was so weird. New York was in chaos and rest country was frozen watching cries of disbelief. It really was just a world shattering moment. I do remember how Americans came together after that. People were just nicer and more understanding with their fellow Americans. There was a unity that I haven’t seen in a long time after 9/11.
My husband and I were driving back home through rural PA when we happened upon the sign for the memorial. I never thought I would visit it but so glad we came across it that day and were able to stop. Such a somber feeling standing there looking out towards the crash site.
I saw a video last night. More people have died now, from breathing in the smoke at ground zero, than the 3,000 killed on 9-11! I assume that means over 3,000 have died from sickness they inhaled at the WTC. So...over 6,000 now, killed by this attack. I hope I got that right. I'm sorry I don't know the broadcast name.
It’s terrible what those people had to endure before they died. But I’m so proud of them to do what they did for America that day. “We put a boot in there ass… it’s the American way” by Toby Keith. To all those that loss there lives for all Americans.
Pray that Jesus be with the families & friends still...pray some of come to Christ cause of this. My deepest condolences & prayers to the families that still deal with the loss on 9/11

Every time I see a video or mentions of Flight 93, I always have a couple questions in my mind. Out of all the videos I've seen about this crash, not one mentions the recovery of pieces of either engine. If anything ...anything at all that would have been the last to survive this crash I would have been the core of the 2 - 6 ton engines. They would have been buried for sure, but they would/should have survived. Also... recovery of hijackers artifacts: I still find it just simply amazing that they found a credit card of one of the hijackers, and then a wallet, and if that wasn't miracle enough, then they found pages, single pages of notes of the hijackers plans. These single pages of notes survived that high speed ground impact crash - and take a look at those pages in the video - there isn't hardly a burn mark or a rip on them. They even find a razor bladed hidden knife that they believe was one of the hijackers. That is some amazing luck in recovery for a crash site that looks like it does in all the videos - basically an empty plane shaped hole in the ground. Amazing.
False, the engines were recovered, their weight and speed buried them to a degree and their excavation was photographed & well documented; a few seconds on google can disabuse that. The hijackers were at the front of the plane with only a piece of windshield between them and being flung out at 500mph and torn to pieces. A fuel explosion creates immense force as it expands, obviously only things that aren’t expelled by the shockwave are subsequently burned significantly. Let alone the 500+mph momentum.
Having personally seen multiple plane crashes at air shows, it’s not surprising at all that small personal items were found, having questions is fine, but look for the answers it’s not hard to find.
Here's an explanation how that happened. The nose of the plane struck, shattering, compressing the cockpit, windows shattering. Lightweight items flew out as air rushed out of the plane. The highjackers were in the cockpit, items in their pockets or in their hands flew out. Put items in a plastic bottle, cap it, then stomp on it. Stuff flies out.
My middle school history teacher thought it was so important when he taught it to us it was near 9/11 and he told us to throw our books that were a lot of money because they didnt write anything about 9/11 in them.
Lord have mercy on all who lost loved ones! May we all learn from the bravery of Todd Beamer and the others, and take our country back from those who are currently negotiating with terrorists and giving them the weapons to destroy us and our allies! Make America Great Again!!!
Jesus Christ! I'm so sick of both sides politicizing everything. Of all things in this country, is it too much to ask that you not stick a D or an R on 9/11??? And don't give me bullshit either! You know what you were doing when you said, "Make America Great Again!!!"
This reminds me of that Facebook post by some woman named Bethany: "My sister's house caught fire and she was tragically killed but in her night stand was her Bible and it hadn't been touched by the flames. Amazing! Miracle from God!" Then a dude replied "Someone DIED Bethany!" There's nothing wrong with being religious and thankful for the little things like that in a disaster, but I feel like calling the survival of the wallets a "Miracle" is insulting, especially since they were the wallets of the hijackers.
Todd Beamer's last words would become famous: "Let's roll!" However, his widow quickly became infamous as a greedy and fame-seeking glory-hound, setting up a "non-profit" while Todd's body was still warm (ran by a friend of hers who had no experience running anything), publishing a ghostwritten book about Todd, or going more than 200 times to the media within the first 6 months; she even tried to trademark the phrase and licensing it to Wal Mart while suing those who used it without her permission in order to milk a profit. That's how despicable and evil Lisa Beamer is. And by the way, she has always claimed his husband was the "leader" of the ñaasenger revolt at United 93; he wasn't.
I don’t care what these people say, those of us who know Boeing aircraft, or any passenger aircraft, that crash site is not a 767 or a 757, you will see a massive smouldering crater with fuselage, seats, body parts imen they found landing gear in the tower debris! All there was in Pennsylvania was a narrow trench sprinkled with miscellaneous debris. The pentagon too!
I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I agree there’s a lot that doesn’t add up. Even the local authorities said in interviews that it didn’t seem right including the coroner saying there wasn’t any “parts”
because of this at least 897,000 people around the world have died in violence that can be classified as part of the war on terror; at least 38 million people have been displaced due to these wars; and the effort has cost the US at least $5.8 trillion, not including about $2 trillion more needed in health care and disability coverage for veterans in decades to come.
I bet there isnt anything referencing how 93 was shot down. All I'm saying is an F16 flew over my town here in northeast PA with afterburner. It was on a mission and 93 was its target. Can't blame the military for taking it out. Better just the people on the plane to die than people on the ground. I really hate how nobody questions it. It makes more sense than anything else
There was an eye witness who saw the plane dive and crash nose first - i seen a lot of Joe Rogan conspiracies as well my friend, but im pretty sure that this plane wasn't shot down and actually did crash👌 just my opinion..
So sorry for Flight 93 anyway But anyway everyone the biggest tragedy of the biggest accident, is it was the terrorism theater or to playing checkers that I hijack of a of a hit World Trade Center and killing of an American and American citizens this is our situation crisis anyway everyone and let me say this sometimes that I that people they did not even saw this one coming and this is what happens. A volunteers of Sabers that I tried to take over that. The hijackers to take over the plane for this too late there is no evidence that a of well survivor of the plane that are right now. The only didn't have is for papers ID chips wires and not to mention the black box it's that device that'll be court on 24 hours a day 7 days in the week when to plant our departure and then after that take off and then after that distorted recording that's it everyone especially that they cannot hear no audio because the audio was off but every sorry for mothers and fathers and sisters and other family members for them well it's very sad but it is so strange. Ex-president Obama was not there colby. Pennsylvania did not invited him ex-president Obama
I still dont believe that United 93 crashed there or even crashed at all. They should have at least found the remains of the tail section, engines and landing gear.Even the day it happened,I was like, weres the plane.
You obviously missed a lot in science class , or need some science education refresher courser.. similar to what just happened to the tiny sub that went " sight seeing to Titanic.
@sharonschutt7500 your "science" is off because a sub implosion is very different than a plane crashing into a field and they recovered pieces of the sub...but nothing of the plane!
@@b.ramit88 they recovered debris from flight 93. It was found throughout the field at the crash site including the very huge hole where the plane hit. Everything bit of debris for the most part was placed into the hole along with the bits of the bodies they found. Deal with facts, not fantasy you dolt.
@@russellbray3059 The media are always getting it wrong. The government lies all the time. But 9elevn truth puts both to shame. Without doubt, virtually everything they say is pure excrement. @mikebyrd8278 simply not true. The medical examiners found thousands of pieces of remains. He made an off hand comment that has been used by conspiracy theorists for years..but its was taken out of context & he never said that they were no remains. In fact he said as his eyes adjusted to the scene he could see parts of people everywhere he looked -including in the trees
One can only wonder what these heroes who sacrificed their lives to save the home of American democracy would have thought of the American terrorists who attacked that very same building on January 6th 2021.
With All the videos in remembrance of 9/11, including the heroes of Flight 93, you would’ve thought that America would never have forgotten this horrible and heartbreaking event. How soon we have forgotten, though I find it very ironic that Joe Biden was present at the flight 93 memorial and this is the man who has helped America forget about this horrible event by dishonoring the heroes of Flight 93 by still continuing to have open borders. The main stream news media is just as guilty as Joe Biden and my words, unless we start vetting, it’s just a matter of time when we have another one of those events.
Yeahhhh ... I don't think that adds up friend. No disrespect to your world view but those hijackers were all here legally with student visa's. Plus, unless you're Native American we're ALL immigrants here in this country. Your family, my family and Donald Trump's family. Have a bit more charity in your heart.
@@f.frederickskitty2910there's nothing wrong with being an immigrant and coming to the US. But to just let everyone in freely without going through the process and getting in legally, that's the problem
Imagine what these people would think after their ultimate sacrifice to save rhe Capitol, the cowards of Jan 6 would try to finish the foreign terrorists task!!!
