This is the video that EVERY FA interview applicant SHOULD watch several times. Thank you, thank you, thank you Steven. Of all the videos I watched, yours was the one that got to me the most. I passed the F2F interview now to start the process. You are the best!
Out of all of the videos I have seen this has to be one of the most straight forward and informative videos ever! I’m already a flight attendant but I’m in the process of applying to a major carrier and this video was just what I needed. Thanks so much 😃
Thanks for saying so! I'm really so grateful that there were flight attendants willing to share their experience here, so that I was able to approach this job with the right expectations. I hope I'm able to help others and inspire them to get their wings!
Thank you for validating my storytelling skills. I think I naturally speak with the STAR format when explaining an experience in conversation but when I try to actually remember S.T.A.R. I get anxious then start to ramble 😭 People push the STAR format so much but it’s really not necessary if you have natural conversational skills.
@@flightattendantsteven she is a cabin crew now, and leme tell you one thing you are so amazing steven i have to say this video actually impacted me in a very positive way thank you and god bless you, my interview is on 31st oct and it would be my 3rd time wish me luck
I have my F2F with Delta on March 19th and have never worked for an airline before. I have been scouring the internet for videos and forums to best prepare myself. I love how candid you are and unscripted your answers appear. Thanks for the videos and advice!
It’s like customer service. If you work in a call center, you are always told “Confidence is key, if you believe, they believe”. I worked in the call center for 2 years and the trainers that were assigned to train new people, always referenced my conversations with customers because of my confidence with the info I was providing to them. I have an interview with Horizon Air soon so I’m extremely confident that I would get a offer because I worked with Alaska Airlines before and I know what to say to get the career.
Got my CJO on my second flight attendant interview! A regional airline is now going to be training me! I credit this video for a large part of my success so far! You’re such an inspiration and have been the catalyst in so many lives. I’m so grateful someone recommended your channel!
Hey Steven, I know you made this video years ago but I’m about to attend a F2F with your airline. This video really helped and makes me feel more confident! I now have an idea of some examples and stories I can use to answer questions. I hope to see you in the skies. 😊🎊
Steven, your gift of speaking in these videos is truly amazing!! I can’t even imagine you wouldn’t have been hired by every airline out there!! Your personal stories and answers to your interview questions are truly inspiring even though those were just your own true life experiences and feelings. You have some magical way of presenting your information in all these videos that keeps me so engaged!! Thank you for sharing... I have only had one VI far (but a total of 5 applications still in process), just started this journey in October since I have been a stay at home mom for many years, and didn’t pass that point… But I see now I was probably so boring and uninspiring… Your video has made me rethink what I do need to share about myself and to stop just listing if you will, my schooling my previous career blah blah blah! Thank you thank you so much for this video! ☀️☀️☀️☀️💛
Dana Wolfe I'm so pleased that this video helped! When I was going for my wings these RU-vid videos really helped Center me and focus my direction. I look forward to seeing you up in the air with your own wings!
Steven Pereira thank you!! 😘 I can’t wait to be able to share that news... I’m taking the process slow and steady and just will keep at it as long as it takes 🤗
Thank you so much for putting this out there. What you said was in my head yesterday during my F2F, and I'm happy to say I got the CJO. Now on to training!
"I'm a labrador retriever." lol So adorable! Who couldn't love that? No wonder they hired you. Informative and helpful video. Keep up the great video content. Subscribed!
thank you so much your advice was beyond helpful! Genuine personality and care over formatted answer. Got it! That is so important for me to remember that the technicalities can always be trained later. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this helpful tips. I’m French moved to the USA a year ago, I’m going to my F2F interview in « Atlanta » in 2 weeks ! I love the way you remind that we are « rock star », I’m so freak out but this encourages me. I love your channel ! I’m gonna use all your advices- thanks again ! Oh say hi your cats 🐈 (I’m a cat lover too)
@@sandrine7912 Bon de toute façon, il se peut que vous vous seriez retrouvée dans la situation où je suis: j'ai commencé les classes et puis elles ont été arrêtées deux semaines et demi après (covid)...
Exactly! I feel like the STAR format will mess me all up!! I would probably jump back and forth between the letters and my story would just be a total mess. Thank you so much for this. I see a lot of young people advising that STAR format. But you’re older, you have more experience. And my gut is just telling me to listen to someone that has lived longer. So thank you!! I have my F2F in 13 days.. so anxious !!
Thank you so much for all of your videos. Your energy is contagious. I had my F2F interview today at a Hiring Event. I'm happy to say that I received my CJO today on the spot. I'm super excited. Again, Thanks again!
During the glass bowl section get excited if your fellow interviewee's do well in their response. Being supportive will show you work well with your teammates when you're on the job.
I was a flight attendant 18 years ago and loved it but resigned from the job I loved to go to work in the corporate world. However I made a decision to send my resume to airline to get my wings back. So for the first time ever I did a video interview which was an interesting challenge.
Steven, thank you sooooo much, I listened intently and completely, hands down you are my Number one #1 after viewing so Many. I grew up in Bushwick Brooklyn and you give meaning to all the take out pizza boxes that say "now that you've tried the rest, Try the best" ps, I was smiling til the end. thank you.
Hi Steven! I have already watched this video 2 or 3 times in the past. But I am re-watching it today as part of my active preparation for the F2F I'll have this coming Monday (wish me luck 😉). Thank you so much for all this valuable information and for giving us the confidence that comes with knowing how to answer some of the more tricky questions 😊.
This was great information and so relevant! And you're so funny, I'd love to fly with you! Thank you Steven! I appreciate the comment about letting them know you WANT the job and how excited you are. I have always been hesitant to act eager. Another tip that is related to your final comments where they were texting the recruiter yes or no. I think it's important to remember that we are being interviewed EVERY MINUTE we are at the f2f, even in the casual Q&A sessions. I believe someone is always watching and listening in the sessions and it could be someone you think is a candidate. Moral of the story, don't get comfortable. It is an interview! And be confident but not presumptuous, I say that from personal experience...;)
You're right. The interview starts when you walk in and doesn't really end until you get your CJO. We dont haunt every room during the event, but it's happened where a recruiting member has been in the restroom and heard candidates misbehaving...no CJO for them.
Not only you are so handsome but you’re also very sweet and I’ve had an amazing time listening to this video preparing for my open day with Qatar Airways, ¡I might even be in love with you!
Thanks so much for your kind words! If you're going to the Oct 1st event with my company, you'll definitely want to watch my goldfish bowl question video. It's totally on the money!
Don’t put yourself down so much. You have a lot to offer anyone in a relationship. BTW, story telling is a great method of communicating. You get across the same information in a way that draws people in. Love your channel.
LOVED & ENJOYED YOU. I HAVED RECEIVED MY ENTIRE LIFE WATCHING AND LISTENING TO YOU. YOU ARE VERY BENEFICIAL TO ME AS I ENTER INTO THIS LIFE AS A FLIGHT ATTENDANT. I LEAVE FOR TRAINING IN WASHINGTON STATE IN JUNE. THANKS A BUNCH FOR YOUR HELP 😘
Steven, your videos are simply THE BEST. I just got my F2F invite yesterday for an airline and I stumbled upon your channel. "You are a rockstar." I'm putting this on stickynotes everywhere
Just wanted to let you know I GOT A CJO! Your encouragement and advice.. it's priceless. I hope I run into you in the skies or in an airport one day! Now to just focus on training... ahhhh!!!
Steven thanks to you i pass 3 interviews facr to face now i have to do the medical test oct 4 and pray to pass .thank you so much for all your videos i will keep learning from you i appreciate you very much .
Steven Pereira, I am so thankfull I found this great video. You gave me so much confidence and took a lot of my anxiety away and this is not easy (I am an anxious overthinker sometimes). You are a great man, we don't know each other but I totally love people like you and I absolutely wish you the best. Thanks a lot for helping me!
Steven, thank you for sharing! I am only 8 minutes in and I love the information and humor you have shared. Hoping to get my CJO this month and your words have made me feel more confident and prepared!
Hello Steven, I wanted to thank you , I’m 46 and I applied 1 month ago for two Canadians company, and was so stressed out because English is my second language , I watched a bunch of videos to get some confidence but your videos and your voice just calm me down. I received an email this morning from one of the airline I applied and I’m the pool . I’m excited to keep watching your videos , I have lots of studies and work ahead of me but I’m ready .
this is the BEST video I've seen regarding FTF interview tips. I'm going to focus on being genuine over worrying about the STAR format because of you. Thank you so much! You are a joy!
Great video! You would be a great instructor. You have me thinking about my answers to these questions and I can't wait. I really believe I'm going to nail these interviews. I think my hardest interview will be the video interview.. So that's my focus. I'm much better f2f. I do have 15 years customer service experience and so I think that would give me an edge on answering some questions. Thanks again for this great video.. You are awesome.
I can’t thank you enough for filming this! I think I’ve watched every flight attendant video on RU-vid and this, by far, was the best one. Very easy to follow and understand. Also appreciated your humour! Ty!!
Wow! Great video! I feel hopeful, inspired and EXCITED!! How old were you when you started your FA journey? I am turning 35 this year and have been searching for a meaningful career and THIS IS IT!! Thank you
Thank You, I appreciate the tips. Especially your thoughts on the STAR format. I have F/A experience, and have been getting invitations for Video interviews but not landing a F2F because I suck at Star format. I'm more of a story teller too. I will definitely answer completely in a way now where its more natural.
It's difficult for those who have English as a native language, for me it's going to be harder still, I'm literally very nervous, because my native language and Portuguese! thank you for your videos
Clicked on your video and remembered you! You were my flight attendant a few years ago flying back home to Michigan. Such a warm and positive spirit!!! I have a F2F on Tuesday and this video has helped ease my nerves a bit. Thank you! Happy New Year! 😊
Just received my CJO from my airline and begin training on the 7th of February! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with all of us ❤️ You truly are a gem. See you in the skies!!
No airline in the United States can disqualify you on the basis of weight. The Only Exception is that you have to fit in the jump seat. As for photos, I don't know anyone in the United States that uses them in the interview process. Four Airlines outside of the United States, I'm sorry I don't know anything about weight and its issues.
Although this video is old the question I have is about the question tell me about a difficult situation and how you solved it. In response to that does it have to be a work-related situation or can it be any situation?
Thank you very much for this video it is very informative. I am going to a face to face with Southwest and of course I’ve been researching online and watching various videos but your video specifically I was able to pull some stuff out of and make it my own. Your video gave me a starting point to make it my own. Thank you very much for doing this video and any tips or suggestions you can give me in regards to Southwest would be amazing. Have a fabulous day
Howdy. I can't speak on Southwest at all, but I would strongly suggest you watch videos by the Chocolate Stew. She doesn't speak for her employer either...she just films about her life as a flight attendant, but she happens to show her LUV. She's amazing!
If this video would had been around 20 some yrs ago I would probably have my wings. I'm older and wiser now and I thinking of trying to be a FA again. This video was very helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time and give out some very good suggestions.
Greg Marquez thanks for the compliment! I have another video about becoming a flight attendant after 40. It might be helpful! If anything it will be encouraging. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this video!!! It was very helpful!! I have my F2F in a couple of days and your video will get quite a few more views from me while i prepare lol
I think most airlines allow beards. But I might suggest trimming it down to the "neatest" you're comfortable with. I personally prefer wearing a very full beard, but I trimmed mine pretty tight just for the interview.
You’re amazing....... I watched all your videos even take notes because I plan to apply in January for flight attendant.... The only problem that I am a scary cat when it comes to test taking, but like you said you’re a #rockstar and I have to keep on reminding myself
i really enjoy you presenting the points of an interview like this. You make it human and simple what i will say for everyone be Profesional and yourself this is what matters and of course polite wish me good results of my interview next week
Question, one of the head people in your company made a derogatory comment stating something to the effect of if he could get rid of the FAs he would. How would you say the company is now? Is moral good among the FAs?
Robin F I don't know anything about the comment, so I can't comment. But as for company morale...hit up a popular Facebook page (flight attendant career connection) and you may notice that many of the people who shout out how much they love their job...and how often it's FAs from my airline. There are always going to be some Debbie-downers around, but for the most part our FAs are super happy!
