Not only that, but we are literally the 0.01% of human beings in all of human history who have an opportunity to see the earth from several thousand feet above. Anyone who doesn't want to appreciate that fact and look out the window at least a little must be dead inside.
Yes - although I do have sympathy for an exhausted traveler or someone struggling with anxiety about it/brightness etc. I often think I’ll be bored on plane trips and end up staring out the window mesmerized… The skies and earth are just spectacular!
It's possible if they make a double door system, so you open the inner door go in between, then close it, and then open the outer door.this could make skydiving possible at that altitude lol
@@TheAlienPoisonI saw the Terminator -not Arnold 😂, while flying East to West. That's the line between day and night. It's really cool looking in the sky. 🌞🌜
@@MrM6d You're not joking about fireworks and lightning. I saw the most amazing sunrise a couple days ago. I think I was the only passenger actually awake at the time.
Yes, but closing it halfway would make it possible to see the cloud, but would cut a lot of light. So meeting halfway would make more sense than a flight attendant creating a funny situation outside so both passengers want to look outside.
@@arakwarNope! I investigate before buying a ticket to be sure I'm 100% next a window and don't have this issue! But it happened to me once they changed the airplane model and I ended in this position and yes, the person in the back was.doing this! Mind you that open window is the only reason my Asperger+ADHD don't go wild! Well, I solved the issue reclining the seat, he complained but I said it was my right and if he has to decide, open window or lack space, the window was open in all the flight!
Fun fact, the reason why Windows are in between seats is because the plane was originally designed for less seats and more space for customers. When they rearrange the number of seats, it's to fit more people on for more money at the cost of the customers comfort.
@thegrandaviator8308 When knowing that everyone has zero control over their height and you're 6'4" it makes all the difference. It forces me to pay for a more expensive seat. Otherwise if I sit in economy the person in front of me bitches because they can't move their seat back due to my knees being up against the seat.
Yeah, I’ve seen that original clip before. If you have to stretch your arm out in front of the window to close it, that should be a pretty big sign that it’s not your window.
Actually... if you have to turn your body to reach that one "in between the chair window" no matter how much, is not your window. Read some basic airline rules for passengers 😅
@@LauraMarin2709 between the front seat is right next to my head, and the light is right in my face. It's not for the back seat to decide. It is closer to me than to him. Don't pretend like you know anything about airline rules
"let's keep this open" jeenie: I DID IT 🥳 them lashes really be spidering also are we not gonna talk abt how that lady casually has a measuring tape in her bag?
The fight for the window is classic. I ws on a flight where one woman put up a piece of brown paper she'd been carrying and then placed her carry on pillow against the window and went to sleep. She didn't care if it was up or down, she came prepared to block the light.
Same here. I need to be looking outside and know where my body is in relation to the horizon. Otherwise, my body goes wacko and it also gives me anxiety not knowing where I am. I always try to get window seats when possible.
On my first ever flight some karen yelled at me to close the window. I was vey young and couldn't say no, so I spent the flight without seeing the ocean... Still regret it
Seeing the clouds up close for the first time is one of the greatest experience one could have and someone people doesn't understand that. I mean could you just wear a blindfold if your plan is to sleep the whole flight and you know you're flying during daylight?
This happened to me once with a Colombian guy, so rude, he closed the window so aggressively He Hurt my ears. I opened it back. I was having an anxiety crisis (first time that happened to me in a flight), I just needed a small space to see outside.
@@miskatonic6210 therapy doesn't just solve issues with a snap of your fingers lol. Anxiety is likely a permanent disorder, therapy can help you deal and manage with it but it's not going to make it magically go away
@@miskatonic6210 anxiety disorders are often caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. Therapy can help by teaching you coping mechanisms but it doesn’t just suddenly get rid of it. Medications can help too but they don’t work 100% and some side effects can be undesirable so someone may not even take medication.
The girl with the lashes just pulls out a ruler out of nowhere to measure like “I’ve been waiting for this moment my entire life😂😂😂 Girl you jumped out the plane with style! The “I QuiT!!!” Got me😂😂😂
As someone who has flown quite a few times, let me tell you: there's lots to see! Some examples: massive thunderstorm over India we had to fly around. Taking off in Newark and fly around Manhattan at nighttime. Seeing cars and everything from above. Seeing how the soil and the landscape differ. Red soil in Australia, sand in the middle east.... Mount Fuji from above with no clouds. Even the stewardesses were glued to the window because of how rare it is. They made an announcement too. Flying through a thunderstorm over Germany and being pushed around in this little metal cage like you're just a tiny toy to the elements. Seeing sunrise, sunset, moon and stars. Dusk and dawn from above are really interesting, you literally fly into or out of the dark and can watch it in fast forward. Yeah, more than clouds! 😄
Been there in this situation... I lost when it was mid-flight, but when the plane was on descend, I opened the window shade, and this time, the flight attendant backed me up 😁
Though this did happen when one time i was flying. I was in the aisle seat and the girl on the window seat was sleeping/snoozing she seemed really tired. Anyway, the girl in the middle seat wanted to check outside and opened the window all the way (not even partly), literally waking up the other girl who got blinded by the light. I found it funny but it was pretty rude...😅 I think people just lack mindfulness nowadays.
An open window isn't less annoying / blinding when sitting in a middle or outer aisle seat. That's precisely why people who want the shades down choose window seats, they have control over it (plus some also wanting the "privacy" of only one neighbour, the cabin wall to lean against, etc.)
This could be a part of Jeenie Canon. She got so fed up with the ladies arguing, jumped out of the plane and quit, but miraculously survived. Afterwards, she created this RU-vid Channel.
I've flown a few times, mostly in Europe. I flew once on a domestic flight in America and I had this exact problem. The thing is the window was literally next to me but the woman in front just kept closing it because she wanted to sleep. Fair enough we hadn't taken off yet so I kept it closed. When we did take off I opened it and luckily she was already asleep 😂
I asked a plane manufacturer about this once. It’s because the planes are made by one company while the airlines are a different company. So the planes are made the way the manufacturers want to, then the airlines decide how many seats to actually put in.
