What is Heliborne?
Heliborne seeks to introduce players to rotary wing aviation and combat. Players will have the ability to fly a number of helicopters from the 60's forward in to the year 2000 across a wide range of maps and in a wide range of mission scenarios.

I'll never forget 'Ride of the Valkryies' playing over the loudspeakers as I crawled on my back with red tracers and flares lighting up the night sky during the night infiltration course during basic training.

+BaronVonGamez I'd love to see a whole crew get together on either the Vietnam or Afghan maps. American Chinooks escorted by a few Hueys and Cobras? Or Blackhawks supported by 'Pache D's? That would be epicness!

Baron, you summed up the failures of American foreign policy in the 1960s with a dinner analogy😆. I loved this video when I came out 7 years ago and I still love it today. That Chinook was so very slow. Which is surprising for one of the worlds fastest helicopter. And the fastest for the time period. In fact only a very few from the last few years can even match it.

heh just at the start, Slick is the attack chopper. Funnily enough, in Vietnam the term 'Slick' was used for transport choppers, while attack choppers were just called gunships. :3

Baron, the Hydra 14/38 description in the armament loadout is actually the total amount of Hydra 70 rockets that chopper carries in total.

The proper reference from Aliens is "in the pipe, five by five". Meaning on course and the drop ship is 5 out of 5 "stars" for mechanical function.

Hey baron a minigun is designated m134, where as a regular 30 cal is m1919. That Huey with atgm's has m1919's not miniguns. Miniguns are actually pretty good in this game

i would like to see a like NPC element in the game. and what i'm talking about is that i would be awesome to be enable to spawn in a large helicopter but you have very wak guns but the ting is that you carry paratroppers och a massive amount of ground forces and you would be enable to dropp equipment but that's just a idea. but i think the game is going in the right direction. but i would be cool of they added hlicopters sounds.

My favorite helicopter has to be the Ki-25 (I hope that's the correct name). Because it's just sooooo cool looking, my opinion may differ when i get this game and actually see what type of armament it gets. Could you play it next?

Baron... you drive me nuts bud. 12.7mm IS .50 cal. 7.62mm is .30 cal. so when he asks if there's a .50 that the Huey can take, the answer is YES. 12.7 is the metric measurement of the BMG round, .50 cal refers to the measurement in inches.
