I took that flight last year on Sept 15. It leaves about 8:50 PM and arrives in 12 hrs so you should get a normal night's sleep. I did okay with jet lag. I love Turkish Airlines and the Istanbul airport.
from my own personal experience, I have flown on both the 787 and the a350 multiple times, and I can confirm that the a350 is the better one, it is much nicer inside and beats the 787 in comfort but a long shot.

Hello! Yes TSA was surprisingly short and to answer your question it was pretty hard to sleep on the flight but I did get some sleep during the flight!
