Flight Review: Air India Airbus A320 Delhi To Mumbai In Economy 

I have travelled Air India from BBI to BLR, both before and after Tata takeover . Before flight crew have dull and lazy expression like some forced to work, food was ok nothing special. Now things changed crew onboard and ground are very helpful and smiling face.

Air India requires new interiors and livery.... it'll help fade away the substandard impressions of earlier flights when it was government owned...TATAs will do an outstanding work I know...😊

Flying Air India & Vistara, means free onboard Meal/food included with the flight ticket fare but talking about Mumbai, it really needs a another operable Runway other than Runway 9/27, because of it's huge Traffic demands.

Air India is quite inconsistent I've had flights with amazing meals but bad aircraft the 787 was suprisingly badly maintained but then the domestic leg of the journey had a great amount of legroom on the A320 I think.

I really believe a new livery is needed so bad with a new cabin interior and I could seee it help a lot

It's very common that flights will be completely packed on domestic air routes in India. Especially Delhi to Mumbai air route being the busiest air route in the country and even one of the world's busiest air route hardly one can expect a light load.

Yes I have travelled multiple times but there is a special moment which I will never forget with Air India. I was flying from Mumbai to Chennai and I got a upgrade on their domestic business class! It was a surreal experience. Shame to say it was a pandemic period with things coming back on track slowly, but the flight itself was epic! I thanked the cabin crew for the excellent service on Air India. Hoping that Tata takeover does live up to its expectations and doesn't disappoint the passengers.

Please do travel on the 787 and the 777s also and post videos on that. People really need to see that both TATAs and Air India are trying very hard to make the airlines great again and as Indians we should appreciate the effort being put in and make Air India our go to airline everytime we fly.

I wish AI would look more into offering good transit options between Europe and South East Asia

Just wait for 3 Years... Air India is completely changing their Fleet... Air India has ordered around 20 Airbus A350-900 XWB for International Flights... Alos Changing many of their Domestic Flights and upgrading many Planes... Tata will take Air India to its Best...

I’ve flown this route several times, and any improvements being made at Air India are welcomed.

My aunt took an IGI-SFO flight on Air India's 787, apparently the bathroom got clogged and water started streaming through the plane, obviously not a lot but any is a lot on a plane

I have travelled in Air india from chennai to Singapore on their B787-8 in economy class in 2018 . As you said it was relatively a smooth flight and i am yet to travel after TATA acquistation .. Incredible video loved it much

That cabin, Seat moquette and livery looks disgustingly old and cluttered despite it being a new plane. Quite surprised that Air India didn’t use the opportunity to clean up the brand.

It's such a shame that Air India has the same economy seat chosen by the latest LCC Akasa. Hopefully in the Future, Air India would include seatback screens on narrowbody flights as well.

Delhi airport is freaking terrifying. Security everywhere with huge guns and ammo on their shoulders. Would not think to do anything at all in their watch.

When I travelled in an Air India A319 , I saw that the screen (which was actually not working) was covered with seat covers

So good to see a western RU-vidr, review my country and its airline without any bias and stating the truth, being someone who travels to the EU and the US on a monthly basis, I believe I've a strong case for what I say and what I critic, Indian airports and airlines are far superior in general, Especially Air India, and had this person been the typical Western reviewer, he would have first cried about the que outside the airport, the poor transfer from T1 to T3, and ofcourse even blamed the lady carrying the kid for not being considerate enough about his leg room, we recently had an uber intelligent self entitled reviewer cry baby after putting a Power vank in Checkin which instead of pointing the major security lapse at Heathrow , he uses adwords for more views to say denied boarding etc, thanks to you for being fair, honest and positive Cheers

Wow, you get a full meal on a flight that was less than two hours??? You're lucky to get a bag of stale pretzels on a U.S. flight less than 4 hours!

I have flown on Air India before from ATQ - IGI - YYZ and the service was great on the ATQ - IGI Flight but horrible on the IGI - YYZ flight which is not a great experience. Anyway, have not flown on Air India since so might have changed

I flewed Air India From Lucknow to New Delhi on their A321-211 and i had a great experience with them

The last time I flew AI was some 52 years ago and definitely it wasn’t complimentary. In today’s AI all the things you have stated I hope it can be backed up. Buying new planes reconfiguring the interior all sound wonderful and hope it all comes about successfully. Now the real question is maintenance & pilot training with hours of experience are some of the crucial part of an Airline business. I truly wish them The Very Best Wishes to become one of the top rated carriers.

Had flown air india once but they weren’t that great.Actually I wanted to see f every indian airline is like this but I was totally disappointed by the whole thing wouldn’t recommend flying to india…

I haven't flown Air India because I haven't been to India. But on the apron, their planes used to look very shabby with faded paint and just dirty. The interior of this plane looks awful.

Air India and all other air lines flying out of India to USA should install bidet and hand dryer on the flights that will solve overflowing toilets.
