This sounds great...super great. My only concern is bugs, CTDs and clouds. I understand there will be a teething period but I really hope we can say goodbye to corrupt files appearing from nowhere and strange artifacts, ghosting etc while in sim. Let us wait and see but I will be buying.
Hopefully they learned a lot from 2020 so that they can minimize the bugs. I definitely foresee teething pains though just due to the complexity increasing even more
Nice summary but.... I found the tone of this to be overly and unrealistically positive and not really balanced. For example you said the physics and aerodynamic was a whole new rewrite which it clearly isn't - in there own FAQ they say "Improved aerodynamics and physics simulation". You also suggested the thin client was optional and I'm not sure that would be the case either because it's tied to various performance and sizing improvements, would love to see a reference for this. I hope you havent set unrealistic expectations with the community.
@@GohantheTurtle that’s the thing though, it essentially is a new sim on the backend. From what Microsoft has shown us so far it’s hard to tell but after what they talked about yesterday I am not sure it would have been easily feasible. Hard to know for sure though! I imagine it will look rather similar on the front end but there’s a lot of new stuff the current engine isn’t capable of happening in the background that the new engine provides is my understanding. I plan on asking some questions today!
