Great review! I have these pedals too, just noticed that the back dampener mount is loose you'll want to tighten it so you don't ruin the threads. Double check all the fasteners, I had a few loose on some of the pre-assembled parts. These pedals were a game changer!
That is a weird position for your pedals, so it´s kinda logical you have to put such an amount of force to move them forward. In my Simpit, my pedals are almost on the same level as my knees wich makes it much easier to push them and to make small corrections. You should consider mounting them 150mm higher and you´ll be surprised by the ergonomic difference.
I just purchased a set of these (no damper) and will be adding a force feedback servo/controller (VPforce kit - everything adjustable in software). So no spring, or a physical damper needed. They look good quality for the price, so not worth DIYing. Agree that the damper needs to be on both sides, also rudders are centered by airflow, which is part of what FF systems simulate. All the best.
Because the dampener is not for tension, its for damping of the bounce in the middle. My left pedal for toe brakes is noticeably more loose and always seems to activate when taxiing around, that for me is the only bad part about these pedals as you cannot adjust tension on the individual pedals.
Dang Blu your rudders came with instructions?? Mines came with nothing. Luckily for me I took a photo of them at the expo as that was my only reference on how to assemble them. Other than the initial assembly troubles, great pedals overall, very happy I purchased them! Great video as usual……
Depends on what you purchase. I had the Thrustmaster TPR before and these are definately overpriced. Replaced them with the Slaw Device Viper RX V3 last April and these are absolutely worth their price. No aluminium, no plastic, completely stainless steel (even the screws), all axis cam loaded, highest precision of all pedals on the market and NOT made in China. They come at a price, but with these you absolutely get what you pay for.
Wow! These look so much nicer than these funky Logitech pedals! I’ll need to make note to buy one once I get back into flight sim! Amazing review my friend!
I am looking to buy some rudder pedals soon. I right now use my Logitech joystick to control my rudder. but I have the honeycomb yoke/throttle. Though I am waiting on the honeycomb Charlie pedals to release to purchase that which according to google will be available second half of August.
These are definitely not designed for racing 😂 have you ever sim raced? No loadcell for the brake and not the right angle and the wrong pedal faces. These would never be comfortable for racing
