From waiting for 30 min for this vid to be fully loaded.. actually installed it from CD.. finished all mission and checkride.. until now i became a real pilot.. this sim has been with me all the way
funniest part about this trailer, they are playing on laptops. FSX was a performance hog at the level of detail they are playing. Even the most expensive gaming systems of the time couldn't run this beast smoothly. playing on any laptop would be painfull. My 2010 high end system still has trouble.
***** I have an Acer Aspire laptop, do you think this laptop would be good enough to run this game? It was purchased in 2012 however games on Steam lag and are literally unplayable. I know little about the PC gaming market but i do wish to play this amazing simulator game so if you could help me out with some advice on if it would run well or not would be great! Thankyou :)
just that? You are not helping much. As far as I know train simulator might not be the most optimised around. It would be better If you told me the specs of your laptop, the exact model and what year you bought it.
I cried for like an hour for my mom to get me this game when I was 10yrs old back in 2006. Just randomly remembered this golden trailer and got the urge to see it again while on a lunch break from studying for my airline pilots licence.
No one ever had such a good experience in the multiplayer like this. I only played mp for about a month before GameSpy shut down... Well that's that then... Or not! The new flight simulator x (steam edition) is coming out tomorrow! 18/12/14
This is just a prove that FSX same as FS2020 meant for everyone, not only the "serious simmers". Good old days that we forgot how to enjoy our hobby, instead now we are bashing each other in the forums 🙄
the joystick the guy in the cafe uses was my first flight sim joystick, got it when i was only 5 years old playing FS2000, now im on FSX with a desktop and flight sim equipment that will probably cost more than my first car. Best hobby ever!!! =D

If you're flying in Multiplayer mode, yes. You speak (via headset) to a tower controller (who is also human) and can follow procedures as normal. Only in the Deluxe version can you play as the Tower controller; anyone can speak with them, however.
The tower controller said "aerobatic show". And I don't think Microsoft intended that you contemplate things like "How can a German lady afford a good internet connection?" lol
