This video has changed the way I fly in Flight Line. Thank you so much for this video, as this helps me a lot with✨ *_landings_* ✨as now I can have a ✨ *_butter landing_* ✨ without aligning to the runway myself as I commonly oversteer, or get swept away to the side with winds. It pretty much feels like the game gets more advanced as you play it.
Hi uh, I got a question and I'm a beginner and stuff but how would you know the heading of the waypoint? I have the ERC Low Chart but I don't get what the numbers beside the waypoints mean. For example, HECLR. There are multiple lines and with them are numbers 347,003,020,035,084,143,159. Could you explain what that means?
Those numbers are the headings to the next waypoint, for example to go from olepi to zerce, youd need to maintain flight heading 360, amd from zerce to olepi flight heading 180
Can I ask a question? Why doesn't my plane descend when approaching for landing? All it does is fly over the runway and keep flying straight. I had to deactivate the autopilot and make a stuka dive to reach the runway in time. The first time I tried it following your tutorial, the plane did descend so that I only had to deactivate the autopilot a few feet above the ground to land it myself. Since then, I've always done the same, but all the plane does is fly over the runway. What am I doing wrong?
@@symahnasir I attempted to do that, but on one occasion, it seemed that the autopilot was heading directly towards the runway, adhering to the glide slope (GS) and localizer (LOC). It did not appear to be doing this unintentionally, as there were quite strong wind gusts, and despite everything, the autopilot tried to follow the ILS. Additionally, I was uncertain whether to turn it off or not, as if it were an autoland situation, until I finally decided to disable it to proceed manually. This issue occurred a total of four times before this problem arose. I will continue to seek more information. Thank you.
Before approach make sure you are atleast 2000 ft up before reaching your last waypoint before approach.the localiser and the glideslope wont catch you if youre too high. I always set my altitude to 2000 on my way to my last waypoint.then for appr i set my altitude to 1000.hope this helps
I have a problem. I have everything else down except the the approach. Whenever I get through the last waypoint, the autopilot connects to the runway im landing at and sometimes starts turn toward it, only to then turn to a different heading forever and lose altitude until it crashes. Please respond! I'm not the best at this game but the glideslope and approach are my greater weakness when it comes to landing.
Yeah ive' had this problem too, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I think its just a bug or the heading you imputted., i had to manual correct it. If that happens you should just try to manual correct and realign yourself using the ILS, or you should be close enough to see the runway and land as per usual.

@@adragondood9258 The bug has stopped and I only have one other problem. Now, sometimes there is a chance the plane will on Approach will Align, Then Dolphin up and down. instead of a steady approach like you showed in the video.
@@mikeyplayzwrld If you don't mind me asking, what fps do you get regularly? Flightline's physics works based on your fps in game so the lower your fps the more likely you will encounter this problem however this hopefully should be changing in the future
uh i need help my autopilot keeps saying "armed" and i can change my altitude, speed, heading, and vertical speed. pls help me on how not to get stuck in armed mode and what it means
What if ATC tells you to change to a different runway than what you have set on your approach mode? Will it just automatically switch to a different runway if you switch the ILS to a different runway? Edit: Just looked at the discord. Yes it does.
bruh i think im doing something wrong i did the navigation stuff at the start but when my plane got to the airport it just flies over it and keeps going
I might be asking a dumb question, but when my AP says "armed" on heading or altitude, it doesnt actually follow the approach pattern, it simply just doesnt change at all. I have both ILS and flight plan in, idk what i can do to solve it
i remember when i was so confused so as to what sids and stars were, then i watched your video along with a couple of others and now i'm a player in atc 24 ptfs and i might join flightline for their private atc network
I have a question. When I put an altitude above the approach section of the flight plan and the plane aligns with the runway it doesn’t lose altitude like in the video. How do I make it to lose altitude when aligned with the runway In the flightplan. Pls respond you’ll help me a lot
My autopilot is wierd it does everything I put in to the flight plan but when it comes to turning to align the plan with the correct runway it just keeps going and going straight even though I've put in the runway I want.
same for me, it just sits at the altitude you set and completely ignores the glideslope even though it is in approach mode, while lining up with runway
Go to the discord server and find the Airport charts then search for the runway your going to approach scroll down a little and you should be able to see heading to aquire the ils approach to the runway.
Can someone fix my flight plan its kinda broken and it just heads to the runway and never lands or descends after takeoff (737) Takeoff from runway 09L/R Head to enord Alt:4000 Speed: 250 Head to Kyzer Alt:2000 Speed: 220 Approach runway 22L/R Speed:150 Heading: 43
@@CC-1993_Jet yeah it does, normally it is because the plane doesnt detect the runway, what you would have to do is turn nav off and on again, should work, then if not set the waypoint thats before the approach to a lower altitude
I am late but your heading is incorrect to intercept ILS. We will be using the KYZER SIX BRAVO arrival. All you have to do is join KYZER then 220° to intercept runway 22. Make sure speed is maximum 200KTS as that is what it says in STAR.
@@benjamindrury2565 That's strange, for me when I zoom it in it's very clear for me, you may just have to wait for it to unblur as the image is very large
Welp I guess I'll leave it right here, I got falsely banned in the Discord server with the reason of "Alt Account" even though it wasn't and still they haven't realize their mistake. It's been a year now...
EYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS! FREAKING SMOOOOOOOOOOTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The runway heading is give on the numbers of the runway, so for 27L and 27R at JTPH the runway headings would be 270, for runway 04 at JSLL the runway heading would be 040 if that makes sense
@@adragondood9258 not really i mistakenly didnt turn off autopilot on APPR mode, and it landed for me it did a kinda butter landing, then it proceeded to take off again with the non-stall speed so yes u should land without it
@@kokumo0 same I accidentally didn't turn app off and it landed itself it was also butter but it did not take off again it turned off autopilot when it touched down
Yes,select your plane, select your airport.make your flightplan, select edit fightplan, select transfer and copy whats written on expirt then then paste it onto something like a note and ur good to go😅
