Here is the Flightline OV-10a Bronco from MotionRC during one of its early test flights.
I highly recommend this model for anyone wishing a fun twin engine scale looking sport plane. It has very good slow speed characteristics with flaps and is a breeze to land for any intermediate flyer.
Overall handling is very good. While not the fastest in top speed it has more than enough power. I used the recommended twin Admiral 4000 mAh 4s packs, which balanced the model at the C/G.
After full power take off with mid flaps, the model lifted off in a short distance and established a positive climb out. Throttle was reduced to 2/3rds as the undercarriage and flaps were retracted.
Most of the flight was flown at 2/3rds to 3/4 throttle. Basic aerobatics, such as loops and rolls required full power entry into the maneuvers with power reduction during recovery. Flight times of 8 - 10 minutes is possible with throttle management. As a rule, I rarely fly at full throttle, which extends my flight times.
Landings at mid and full flaps are slow while maintaining positive control. I generally fly a gentle descending final approach with minimal power. Throttle advanced to arrest the decent as main wheels contact the runway.
I repainted my Bronco in a subdued gray scheme with dark ghost gray upper surfaces. The under belly fuel tank pod was modified to hold FPV / OSD equipment. The pod was mounted using the standard magnetic mount and stayed with the model during initial flight testing which included loops and rolling maneuvers.
Overall this a really fun twin model with stable slow flight handling. Another great offering from MotionRC / Flightline / Freewing.
