Abdul Majied, it's not that people do not like this type of content, but is rather the RU-vid algorithm not promoting it. RU-vid wants to keep you watching as long as possible, which longer videos are likely to do. But they also need a high video frequency, which is not really possible for this type of content, however, with its high quality this type of content is good at keeping subscribers, so this channel will grow slowly but surely, eventually creating a large yet stable channel. The fact that RU-vid doesn't really promote this type of content is actually good as then the videos are less likely to get seen by non subscribers making click bait a non viable tactic.

A mini-series on some sort of progression of hunting tools would be interesting for the brainstorming list too. You could start with something like a stone-pointed spear or a rabbit stick, go up to a sling, and perhaps end with a modern bow? (Ignoring the progression to firearms for the tooling/legal/controversial quagmire it could pose.) Not sure how you would spin it to fit the theme perfectly, but the good news is you likely wouldn't need to travel all across the continent to source the footage or materials.

"you need to strike at one surface that is adjacent to another surface at an angle less than 90 degrees" God! I know it's good to be scientific but he could just have said hit on the sloping end or strike at the tapering end.

@MananagKiVato
@MananagKiVato 7 лет назад
Noah Koenig Don't only look for flint or obsidian, walk around some rivers and you can probably find some agates, look for basalt even, if it's fine grained enough they often fracture conchoidally.
@patrickjablonowski7796
@patrickjablonowski7796 7 лет назад
Noah Koenig if you can't find flint or obsidion you can use glass instead.
@patrickjablonowski7796
@patrickjablonowski7796 7 лет назад
christopher snedeker yes it is dangerous and glass isn't the strongest alot of times when I flintknap with glass the arrow head might break in half and little shards go everywhere

What all the tool made from flint or any rock?
@elijahandrewcassidy1650
@elijahandrewcassidy1650 7 лет назад
Michael Vernon pretty much anything the breaks with a concoidile fracture and has silica in it. Like flint Quarz obsidians and cherts. You can also use copper boppers and copper pressure flakes I use antler personally this technic is called "abo"
@brandynr2527
@brandynr2527 6 лет назад
It has to be a rock that is hard, fine-grained, and a homogeneous material. Flint, Chert, obsidian, modern glass, agates, etc. are all stone that can be made into sharp tools. You can make many other tools from different types of rock, but sharp ones have to be like flint.

@grzegorzbrzeczyszykiewic3338
@grzegorzbrzeczyszykiewic3338 6 лет назад
its more than just " HIT IT REALLY HARD " or "HIT IT AT A NINETY DEGREE ANGLE" stuff, you constantly need to do things like abrading, tapering the edge, creating isolated platforms, and removing step fractures, and it gets even more complicated since you need specific types of stones that break in a predictable way, and different type of stones lead to different results, I assure you, look in your backyard for some random rocks and smash them together, because all you'll make is just a bunch of pebbles because the rocks you'll find are impossible to turn into actually useful hand axes , let alone stone spear points . so please don't run over this stuff as simple stuff that a 3 year old can do.
@brandynr2527

Get some chert, obsidian, or flint and try to make something that is not only sharp, but something that resembles what a Homo erectus made and get back to me on that.
