Great Video... enjoyed the overview. I liked the FLINT v1 and can't wait to explore the options w/ v2. Pete (Strymon) said in a recent Strycast (episode 2) covering all the v2 pedal updates that they did NOT mess around too much with this much loved pedal other than adding MIDI and a few other enhancements (e.g., no extra knob added).
Hey, can you guys please help me? I am planning to get the Flint v2 and I'm wondering if I could use a Disaster Area DMC Micro to change between at least 3-4 presets by setting the 2 footswitches on it to step up and down between saved presets. I hope someone can help me 🙏
I don't see why not! You should be able to check out the manual for the Micro and figure out how to make this happen before you even buy the micro itself. They aren't too difficult to set up. Just make sure you get the right midi cable! Strymon sells these.
@@lelespedroBR You will need an external fav. switch and TRS cable - plug in to the midi jack on flint v2. Then follow the steps on page 17 in the flint v2 manual, once that's done, set the pedal to the preset you want to save, hold the trem ON switch to save.
Suggestion, review some of your Vertex video statements. They didn't age well and have damaged your credibility. For example, you guys made a comment recommending high gain pedals should be placed before lower gain pedals. Really? Do yourselves a favor and at least make some disclaimers. I enjoy your show only with a grain of salt. Is this acceptable to your effects company? If so block me or whatever. Peace!!!
Sorry.. a little confused. Do you mean Chairmen Of The Boards? Or this YT channel? Low gain before high...high before low. Both are used very commonly. It's a personal preference depending on how you run your rig, pedals used, amp choice, amp FX Loop being used or not... Many factors play into what is going to be 'better' for the player.
Depends on what music you like, I already oushing through 6 pedals and it took me forever to get a setting that now terrifying to disconnect in fear i never find it again....
