I have a few more Fall style cocktails left to share before we jump full force into Christmas. This week our neighbours to the south are celebrating Thanksgiving. It's a slightly larger affair than our (Canadian) Thanksgiving. We celebrate ours on the second Monday of October and the U.S. celebrates on the third Thursday in November that culminates in the shopping massacre of Black Friday! So Today I'm making some Flips that will go great with that Thanksgiving Turkey. One of my Patrons wrote in and asked me to help him with his fall Flip concoction and if i'd be willing to make a video about an Autumn Flip. What's a Flip you ask? Watch and find out. OAT STOUT FLIP
--------------------
SWIRL 2oz (60ml) OF OAT STOUT AROUND IN A SHAKER FOR A MINUTE OR SO TO
REDUCE THE CARBONATION.
ADD:
1oz (30ml) - NAVY STRENGTH RUM
1oz (30ml) - APPLE BRANDY
1oz (30ml) - PUMPKIN SPICE SYRUP
(less or more depending on your palate)
1 - WHOLE EGG
1tsp. (5ml) - KAHLUA COFFEE LIQUEUR
DRY-SHAKE (WITHOUT ICE) VIGOROUSLY.
ADD ICE AND SHAKE AGAIN UNTIL WELL-CHILLED.
STRAIN INTO A CHILLED FIZZ GLASS.
GARNISH WITH FRESHLY GRATED NUTMEG.

PUMPKIN ALE FLIP
--------------------
SWIRL 2oz (60ml) OF PUMPKIN ALE AROUND IN A SHAKER FOR A MINUTE OR SO TO
REDUCE THE CARBONATION
ADD:
1oz (30ml) - SPICED RUM
1oz (30ml) - APPLE BRANDY
1tsp. (5ml) CRÈME DE CACAO DARK
1oz (30ml) - PUMPKIN SPICE SYRUP
(less or more depending on your palate)
1 - WHOLE EGG
2 DASHES - ORANGE BITTERS
2 DASHES - CHOCOLATE BITTERS
DRY-SHAKE (WITHOUT ICE) VIGOROUSLY.
ADD ICE AND SHAKE AGAIN UNTIL WELL-CHILLED.
STRAIN INTO A CHILLED FIZZ GLASS.
GARNISH WITH FRESHLY GRATED NUTMEG.
