The amount of love, time, effort and attention to detail is amazing! That drawer is a perfect addition to this wonderful creation! Just FANTASTIC! What more can I say!
I just found this... You are an incredibly intelligent and creative lady. Your ability to combine your story telling, intelligence in research and artistic creativity was off the charts in this project. I’m not sure you even realize how difficult it is to have such perfect balance between realism and creativity. Because it seemed to come very naturally to you and you nailed it. It was endearing that you were a bit uncomfortable and almost apologetic that the journal went dark. But that’s the story.... just as with Edgar Allen Poe, Stephen King, Goth in general and all the spooky greats. But you handled it with grace and great imagination. It is hard to be impressed by many art journalists these days, but this was truly impressive. Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone and for sharing.
If anyone has time for the long version. I recommend you to watch. The story is amazing and this short version is great, but the long version is Awesome! I think we must have some ESP going on... I just bought from some sellers this morning that I never heard of and here you are using their kits I bought. Way cool in my book!! Yes, Lisa needs to do a digital kit of her Eco prints. I just recently got into making journals, ( I’ve been a needle worker for 50 years, beginning when I was a very young child). I noticed your lace background ( I made that crochet lace tablecloth years ago for a friend)! I loved the Jekyl/Hyde story from “Mary Reilly”… this gave me an idea to do a journal based on Lizzie Borden!! I’ve always been fascinated by her story! Thank you for sharing!!

What an amazing journal! I can't imagine the hours that went into it. Your work is always beautiful but this puts you on another level. You sounded almost apologetic for some of the items included but you shouldn't be. They make it have such an authentic feel.

Look for your copyright free digital books online. Many books are scanned and available free online. I have one about making paint. Additionally there are pictures available online from historical societies in local cities and counties.

After having spent so much time and love into this I could not have parted with it. May I ask what you sold it for? I would think this went for a tidy sum. Wow Dawn this is a spectacular work of art. I love to hear how you have done so much research to put it together. Makes it so much more interesting to have all the bits and bobs that pertain to that era in time and his life. I cant even imagine how long this must of taken to put together.
