I think that it adds a cool effect when Hulk is shouting, as the paper rips on his mouth. Then it rips more as he walks past. Overall the drawings are sick. Very talented.

I was thinking the same thing. It’s awesome that the ultimate frame is just a shaded piece of torn up paper: no subject, no detail; even after that paper had seen so many marvelous scenes (pun intended 😉).

I'm an artistic person and blown away by this. This is amazing!

I thought that too. I'm 47 and due to a chronic illness I have taught myself to draw and paint and I am SHOCKED by how quickly I have picked it up and become better and better. I mean it's mind blowing that within months I have gone from being afraid to even mark the page to drawing pictures people are amazed by. Anyone can learn to do art. And thanks to RU-vid tutorials and books the artists I have followed recommend or have put out are what helped me beyond words. I definitely think you should give it a try. And don't let frustration or discouragement stop you. You WILL improve. Never leave a picture unfinished. And never throw anything away. Seeing your progress is the most awesome part and you'll be able to look back years from now and see what you accomplished

Keep at it (: And I wholeheartedly agree that you shouldn't throw anything away: One day I was helping my friend clean her place and when I looked into the garbage can, I saw a beautiful scene of a beach sunset made with oil pastels on parchment. It had a very small food stain on one side but I pulled it out and asked her why. She shrugged and said it didn't turn out right. I framed it and it now hangs over my headboard.

That's how all of them were made back in the day, yeah. They weren't always whole illustrations, though. To save time, a lot of old cartoons (like Hannah Barbara stuff) would paint different parts of a character on transparent sheets of paper or vinyl and then layer them over a background. So, instead of having to draw a whole picture of George Jetson with his mouth open and a whole picture with his mouth closed to animate him talking, you could just draw a single picture of him with a blank mouth and then two smaller illustrations of his mouth to switch out and achieve the same effect. That's why a lot of older cartoons, like the original Scooby Doo, look so stiff. Nowadays, there are easier and cheaper ways of animating in 2D using technology, like flash, where you can manipulate a model of a character into different poses to give the illusion of movement instead of drawing them over and over again. 3D animation works in a similar way. All of it is basically still different forms of stop motion though :)

But the God that Christ talks about is a God of love and forgiveness. Its good to know and reflect on the Gospel, but it shouldnt be the only focus of your faith. Pray to God and work hard, and love thy neighborg as you would yourself, as your neighborg could be Christ coming to check on you.

I would imagine it depends what's being erased, that first drawing where he just redrew the face would definitely be faster, but for all those with any movement it would definitely be faster to just redraw, since he had to redraw most of it anyway

Plus it's much harder to draw accurately when you just completely erased your reference lmao
