Vietnam Veteran here. Great working father and son team here with Cole and Brian. I watch as I take my breathing treatments Sometimes morning at 06:00 are evening round 18:00 hours.

But still love the songs that I listened to while serving after being drafted by LBJ. “Fortunate Son”, “We Gotta Get Out Of This Place”, “Eve Of Destruction”, “House Of The Rising Sun” and many more. They bring back memories of my times spent in college and the U.S. Army. Keep up the outstanding videos and you both stay healthy.

Its been about 4/5ths of my lifespan but I heard a trick for flipping the belts back... will try to remember it, I think it was a knot of ratchet strap while the clam was in the air. Ok, remembered it. You run a ratchet strap up round and through a slit in the belt and grease the belt with soap. Wrap the strap around the belt opposite the twist and "rip it" through. A short slit will reduce the belt's lifespan some but is worth the solution. There was some finagling the farmer didn't tell me about and he didn't want me anywhere near the tree, baler and tractor when he fixed it. Tree, strap. I looked up and found the "fold in half" but that's obviously not going to work on the knuckle. The other solution to keep belts from flipping is square bales... XD

Looks like it's one of the hoses that feeds the drive motor... cats are notorious for it, maybe bobcats do the same now. They rub on the frame where the poke out from hydraulic pump. Got to pop the cab up and look at the lines feeding the drives, replace them if cut and put anti chaffing on all four hoses for both drive motors

It has been my experience that the simplest way to track down the source of a leak is to first... pressure wash the evidence way and get things clean and dry. Once you do that keep an eye on fluid levels and for new moisture. And working clean pays dividends when dealing with seals.

Just seen on another You Tube site where a small farmer/rancher used a round fence post driven into the ground and then he put a used street sweeper brush on it for a cattle scratcher - and his cows love it after one of his bulls showed them what to do with it - lol.

I watch another farmer here in the UK called Olly Bloggs . He unfortunately is at the other end of that rainy spectrum . Last week he was out on his combine cutting in inches of rain . He’s in Liverpool up here in northwest England . All he wants is the rain to stop but like you he has a good sense of humour in fact I’m sure you’d get along . ❤

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Busy time for both of you. Sorry about the baler belt. Looks like it is kind of hard to work with. Glad you can get the belt fixed and not have to get a new one. Hard area to get into to work. Thanks for showing us. Fence building again. Brian has it all planned out the way it looks. Nice day to be doing fence corners. You both are excellent fence builders. More to come I am guessing. Lots of jobs done today in addition to several other busy jobs that needed doing. Tie the belt at the twist turn roller on until belt goes all the way around. It should straighten up then just cut string and start rolling.

Cole about the rain Saturday we got 6 plus inches here in Hull and Sioux Center Ia got plus 10 inches and lots of flooding in Boyden, Rock Valley, and Sioux Center and we got another inch on Sunday. We pretty much are good to through harvest Since the temperatures have dropped.

bobcats are notorious for final drive seal leakage and unsecured hydro lines rubbing holes in them, raise the cab and check them out, pressure wash, run the machine and raise the cab for inspection

Always like the drone shots of y’all working a field. It can be difficult to track down a leak with dirt and old oil possibly hiding the source. Give that entire area a good scrub down then get out in the dust. Unless it’s a leak under pressure, you might be able to backtrack the fluid trail in the dust coat. Also, some taller sideboards on the dump truck will let ya get another scoop or two of those lighter materials. Love the content, y’all have a great day! 🫡

Hi guys, the wife and I really appreciate your podcast. We bought a farm about 22 years ago. The wife was born and raised on a farm did all the farm chores etc. etc. I was not raised on a farm. Mechanically inclined worked in papermills as a millwright ( mechanic) for 34 years. I have a suggestion for repairing that belt or I should say getting it a part. I would’ve took a brand new pin for the hinge and put a slight chamfer on both ends and try driving out that old pin and I know they’re hard to come out, because they wear into the hinge. that may have saved you a lot of time and some money instead of going to the John Deere dealer. No rain sucks here in Quebec it’s the opposite rain every second day land so wet you can’t do any thing most haven’t finished or started first cut feed will be a problem here to as for the baler I’ve used a dermal with a fine steel blade to cut between the lace takes some time but cheaper the a belt not to say I haven’t taken a grinder to a belt once or twice I my life some times it a mater of take that belt lol

Just about got all the silage done for this one. How do things look for the upcoming year's cuttings?? Lack of water will probably hurt that too. Oooo, how does a bull get an injury like that?? Was he workin too HARD?? Will he get disability?? Or become hamburger?? Can he still be used for AI?? Man!!! What a way to go!!

It looks like the pressure relief on the arm cylinder. When you lift something too heavy or bounce when you have a heavy load, it will relieve the the pressure rather then blowing the seal on the cylinder
