I was honestly shocked to see that this is only your third public video. Content aside, the video formatting, design, etc, is fantastic and shockingly good for a brand new channel. Kudos man. The work you did was great too and has given me inspiration for some projects I'm trying to plan out. Idk how busy you are but I'd love to have a way to bounce ideas off one another.
Thank you for the kind words! I have to balance a full time job but as a creative I needed an outlet to check off some of the growing list of design experiments that brew in my head. Maybe a community discord would be a good idea in the future for collabs
Great video! I’m looking to do the same thing to my late grandmother’s old TV. I read the same thing about the discharging and wanted to know, where did you connect the wire that was on the screwdriver? Just to any metal piece attached to the TV interior components? Also, did you hear a discharge? And where/how did you dispose of the old CRT? Thank you for your content! Great work!
Thanks! I attached it to the metal shell that held the components. I didn't hear an audible discharge, but it turned out that mine was physically broken, and had been unplugged for a few weeks at least. Google e-waste recycler for a place in your area.
