Flite Test Simple Scout XL!!! 

I just waited for the kit. I ordered 2 by mistake. I love my Simple Scout. The XL should be great for a 73 year old to fly. Great video. Great maiden. Thanks

I scaled the Scout to that size last year. It flys so well that we now have several giant Scouts in our club. Lots of fun. We put giant wheels from the Hobby King Tundra on all of ours as well as large tail wheels on Sullivan tail wheel brackets.

Is this the thick foam or standard?

These FT planes seem to barge their way through the air. Like they have an aerodynamic deficiency ( they do ). Going to build a Sig Kadet Senoir instead. I want elegant flight. They are really innovative and show quite a bit of genius in the construction technique though.

I used to resize this all the time when it first came out when I started flying 3 years ago and when this came out I built this regular size one and then I resized it to a little bit bigger than this one it flies great I still have my extra large one I built myself but please make more extra large kits like maybe a XL explorer simple cub extra large simple stick and a new plane like a powered glider with foldable prop and 60 inch wing span that comes off in two pieces like the eluna glider that came out for a year that only costed 90 bucks with a receiver that kind of wing design where it comes apart and it has a carbon rod as The spar through it he is tighten two little screws and you're good to go but maybe able to flight test one similar to that where the wings come off in two halves for easy transport I would love it huge 60 plus inch wingspan ft foam board glider that would be epic and I know they have the explorer but I want to front folding prop glider

And also the extra large ft simple scout like you got here makes great combat planes because of the size of them is easier to see them and they can handle a bigger motor and bigger problem do more acrobatics and more verticals and stuff like that I love this plan has an extra large plane the regular size one I didn't think flu very well but an extra large size like the one you have here it flies very well

I got a chuckle at the "at an undisclosed location" thing. I used to do computer support for defense contractors, and some of them really would be "undisclosed location". 😂 Oh, and "Closer to turning 40...?" 😂🤣😂🤣. Try "rapidly rolling to 60"

i would definitely 3D-print a Snoopy pilot with a Red Baron paint scheme.

Beautiful flier! I've been wanting to build a Simple Scout for a while, but I think this bird looks like a whole lot more fun.

My Simple Scout from the SBK has been one of the most rock-solid reliable flying planes I've built, and she's coming up on three years old. I've been thinking about trying to scale the plans up, but if they're going to be available online, I'm in. Love it, and thanks!
