FlixelPhotos refer to previous comment. Nice app. but again $200 is insane. it's a quick way/shortcut to something that can be done in photoshop. Wasn't the initial app price $15 or something?

Hi Charlie/Pamela, We were on a promo price when we launched to test out the market. That was two years back. We're on a second version of the app now with a lot of added features. The software is meant for professionals and the pricing is value based - meaning its based on the cost and time savings you'll see when you start using the software. If you're a photographer/videographer all you need is sell 2 cinemagraphs an year and you'll hit breakeven. A HD cinemagraph on an average sells for $150 on the open market (stock sites like Shutterstock and Videoblocks sells them now). If you're creating one or two you can stick to using Ps/AE, if you're creating more then you'll see value in our software. There are two kinds of benefits you'll see from the software. One, you'll save time on every cinemagraph you create. Normally it takes a couple of hours, but you can create a perfectly looped cinemagraph in under 5 mins using Cinemagraph Pro. Two, if you're a brand or marketer you're paying $200/year for content that you'd be using for just about everything from ads, to emails to landing pages.Check out the free trial and see if you find any value in it.

Hi Wain, Most of our artists use Cinemagraph Pro along with Ps/AE as part of their workflow. Cinemagraph Pro for creating perfect loops and Ps/Lightroom for color corrections and finer adjustments. One of the reasons why Adobe is a Flixel partner.
