Since float switch indirectly connects 230v may be thro N however it is unsafe like water tank installation .pl workout lesser 6vDC volt for float connection. It is only suggestion.
@@JrElectricSchool 🙏 Dear you are connecting neutral.ok fine. But when float's one position return supply will be in one end of the float terminal.pls think that way also. My suggestion is beter give 24v ac and operate through a four core telephone wire. I'm using that way past 12years without major problem. 🤔😌
So with the contactor you avoid pulling full current of pump thru the float switch in the tank, but you still have the issue of 220V going into the tank thru the float cable. Does it really make that much of a difference in safety to have a contactor in that case? I guess if your float switch isn't rated for the pump current?...

@jr electrical school Can you tell me what changes I should make in wiring so that my motor turns off when water level is low and turns on when water level is above set low level in float switch. This is for a .5hp pressure booster pump on I’ve put on the terrace
Thank you for sharing this . Anyone correct me if I am wrong. isn't this bad design in terms of safety?!. At the end the floating switch has a lifetime and at one moment the water will find its way to the current which will expose the high current to whole water risking lives to anyone in contact with that water. To reduce the risk the floating switch should have earth wire which will trigger the main switch when current leakage. Another way to terminate the risk is by using the floating switch as low current switch 5-12 v connected in some way to control high current relay.

Too many components involved. This is just a simple switch, just do it as what you're doing with wall switches.. Just use blue and black wires of float switch to be connected to single source line ( cut it then connect the blue/black wire of float switch)

Когда низкий уровень работает один компрессор или насос, а когда высокий уровень идёт переключение на работу другого компрессора или насоса! Поэтому тут три провода разного цвета, а не два провода нейтраль и линия, плюс один провод заземления, как в обычных выключателях дренажных насосов! А если бы задействовал третий провод, то включалась вторая лампа, когда попловок поднимался вверх!

Can i use it using a magnetic contactor? What is the specifications of contactor should i buy? Thanks for replying.
This simple circuit is controlling the load indirectly by the float switch: the float switch is energizing the contactor relay coil, which commutes its contacts and energizes de load. Simply, the electric contacts of the float switch are not designed to control the load.
Hi. I used to do like this but later I discovered it's a bad practice installation. Contactor of 24V coil should be preferred, and that coil closes the 110V or 220V supply. You only need to add a 24 DIN rail supply or using a 60W, 220V-24V transformer. There is also the option of getting a 12V relay do accomplish it, but it looks less professional and somehow it is more risky.
Very good comprehensive video. I need your guidance. I installed same water flow switch in my undergroud water tank, which is filled with society water. The switch is installes with motor pump to lift water from underground tank to overhead tank. The purpose was that the motor would not empty run if no water in underground water tank. Facing some level problems. Can you guide how to adjust this level in case water is less in underground tank the motor would be off.

Wrong connection. coil connection terminal (+) must come from float switch. Otherwise coil core always be in positive(+) . First (+) connection should go to float switch from MC (+) . Then connect to coil positive (+) terminal.Then coil negative (-) will go to MC (-)
I am using this float switch for approximately 3 years but now it is not automatically on motor nor off but if you manually change position up or down then it works what is the problem
