I am truly fascinated by your experiments! So clever and we mortal humans would never think of something like that! Well done, please bring some more!!
Good Morning Aramalis’ Adventures: All for kids, You might be able to do it with out baking soda and vinegar, but I think it gives the smoke a place to float on top with carbon dioxide gas. I will have to try it without the baking soda and vinegar and see the different. thanks Ken
hi Sonamtashichoden-uz3wd, Yes you can do it without the baking soda. The baking soda is just to get it to shake it will look like a liquid, if you do it with out baking soda then the smoke will just go to the bottom of the glass. Check out my other video Smoke waterfall and you can see it without the baking soda. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zTBnOx9IZls.html Thanks Ken
Good Morning @maamjulie5298, By mixing baking soda and vinegar you make a reaction that produces carbon dioxide gas, which you know. The carbon dioxide gas settles on the bottom of the glass in an invisible layer. The smoke is lighter and sits on top of the Carbon dioxide and when you shake the glass which makes the smoke float. I hope this helps. thank Ken
